I put a huge pot of Chili on the stove this morning, I probably can talk the wife into baking some great corn bread. Going with the Monk marathon instead of the pre,pre-game shows. If I don't fall asleep in the third quarter this should be fun.

Shrimp steamed in beer, chili cheese dip, tortilla chips & salsa and subs are the menu for us today. Keeping it pretty fuss free so I'm not stuck in the kitchen. Oh and beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer beer.

I know alot of people don't like Prince but I've been a fan for years. I was pretty excited to find he was doing the half time.

I've been singing "Purple Rain" all morning.

Wow doesn't that comment just highlight the ignorance that your redneck state of mind is in. Brainwashed? You bet! Nice argument, freedom and "democracy", as if americans are the only ones in the world who love freedom.

As far as football goes, the superbowl is only for the fans of the two teams playing....the rest of us are supposed to get stoked for stupid commercials and halftime shows...I agree with Abyz, Ive never been psyched for a superbowl in my life.Im sick of rooting for a team because I hate the other one more. Who gives a rusty ass who wins...I need the Jets to be there someday...PLEASE

Football Fans watch the SB because they like to watch football...others who dont enjoy football watch it for the prestige and the commercials...so the ratings go up...is that so bad? and because the ratings are the highest today more than any other day, this is why Super Bowl Sunday( should be a holiday) is the frst day of the new year in the advertising world....makes perfect sense

Football is just about the only sport that I can watch and really enjoy even if my team isn't playing (I do enjoy rugby internationals even if England aren't in them, but not club rugby).

I will happily sit through any football game. The Super Bowl is a great game, but it is increasingly under siege from commercial interests. In the same way that Monday Night Football ruins a good game by talking about other stuff throughout and even having non-football guests on to talk DURING THE ACTION (!), the Super Bowl is lost in all the crap that comes with it.

The halftime show should be a marching band and the players should be back on the field in 12 minutes. Instead we get to see old, washed-up rock acts prance about on stage looking like idiots. By the time the teams come back out you've forgotten who's leading.

I will be watching into the early hours tonight, just like always.

Remember, you have democracy because the French fought with you against us Brits! French was almost your national language.

It's just another reason I can't stand the French. If the States were still our colonies I could live there and not have to put up with this weather!

Meh I live like 3 miles from the stadium and right not I got a greater buzz from a mosquito in my nose.

Incidentally, I went to an Irish wake Thursday night and we were messing with a bunch of Colts fans that were wasted. Nice people but gullible as all hell and actually got pretty annoying. Sloppy drunk women with their husbands or whatever a couple of tables away. We sent them to little havana for the Calle Ocho super bowl party....................lol if there ever was one.

This year's Superbowl was the second most watched Superbowl ever. Actually, it was the third highest watched program ever, behind only the '66 Superbowl and the M*A*S*H finale.

Well alot of people may not have shown excitement for the game, but it was the 3rd largest televison audience in US History.

I don't see what you guys hate about the superbowl. It is the game that decides the NFL Champ...how can you not be interested? Plus, it gives you an excuse to do nothing all day except eat and hang out with friends. I don't see what to hate about it.

I think the most exciting part was watching it being played in the rain. It's nice to see a game being played the way it was meant to be played. The only thing would have made it better if it was played in the snow at 20 degrees.
