We give up Revis and a first rounder for Cutler and i will be devastated....the sooner Cutler is traded to the Browns/Lions/Bucs/Vikings the easier i will be able to sleep.
At first I was intrigued by what Mr Cutler would bring to us in pure football terms , but the whole way hes conducted himself does not fill me with confidence that he could lead a team , by example , ie; When the chips are down. The longer this has gone on , the more I don't want him to set foot on green and white turf
His attitude fits in perfectly with Ryan and NY. Arrogant and self-centered. What more would you want? Another milk-toast like Pennington? That what Reggie Jackson was. That's what Namath was. The real winners in NY were always like that.
I understand that Rex wants to build the team as a run-first, defensively oriented team but he should also understand the importance of a good offense. If the Ravens had so much as a respectable offense to go with that killer defense we'd be talking about a dynasty. That being said, I hope we don't give up any of our defensive cornerstones (Revis, Harris)
I seriously don't want that kid on Jets squad. Not after sending the whole fucking farm at him, that is.
i really dont think we need cutler, i like kellen he played well, behind a swiss cheese offensive line he still did his thing, all we need is a number 1 reciever. i lnlw we got cotch and he is a good number one but we need another i sayt braylon edwards, ok guys say he drops passes and this and that, did he drop alot of passes his rookie year? last year he was disappointed and upset he does not want to play for the browns, he wil have the same attitude that charles woodson had with the raiders and randy moss did too, he will change when he comes to a franchise like the jets, trust me i have been right before about certain players switching teams and playing well and i think edwards is that type of player. we wont get a WR we want at 17, or in the second that can make a quick splash and instant offense like braylon can.
That's a good way to look at it, but I think you have to factor in what we'd be giving up. If you feel we wouldn't have to sacrifice our own players and/or our future, great. If we're giving up 3 picks AND a key piece of our defense, I'm not too pleased. I'd even give up Rhodes before I'd give up Harris, and I'm a huge fan of #25. I just look at value within the system and I see a big role for Harris with Ryan/Pettine in charge. FWIW, if we sacrifice too much, I agree it's win/win.
Yea, because that is how Phil Simms was, and Derek Jeter, and Bernie Williams, and Wayne Gretzky, and Martin Broduer.......lol
You're confusing cocky with whiney. Joe Namath was arrogant yes... confident, cocky, a superstar and a leader in all that he did. Jay Cutler is NOT the same thing. Jay Cutler is a whiny school girl who talks shit constantly and has done absolutely nothing to prove he is anything. Sure he's shown flashes of extreme talent, but it isn't like flashes of extreme talent are hard to come by. The NFL is loaded with talent, and often times the only thing separating a superstar from a very good player is their public reputation or perception. Unless Cutler magically matures overnight, he'll get eaten alive and shit into some corner in the Bronx. He's too much of a baby to survive this town, and I'm afraid of what he would do to the internal workings of this team. We don't need people like him. The very best players in the league aren't whiny bitches, they're leaders who go out there and perform through the most difficult of circumstances. Cutler has already proven he's a princess. Let him go play for someone else.
christ, i Said all this shit last week and got my ass chewed out for it, hes a whiny punk ass who I dont want to root for. Besides, ill say it one last time, we all ready have a quarterback that is just sitting on our bench.
At any rate, the Broncos best play at this point is to let trade talks go right up to the draft, unless teams stop outbidding each other and there is one clear best answer. So, we probably won't hear anything for a while, unless one of the teams blows them away with an insane offer. Hopefully that isn't us.
If the Browns want him they have all the bullets they need! Pick any of these two and they'd probably get it done #1 Pick Brady Quinn* Derek Anderson* Shaun Rodgers *Obviously not 2 QBs
Washington with the 13th pick this year, conditional 2nd rounder next year that can go to a 1st rounder and a player. you heard it here first... With number 13 this year they can draft Sanchez or Stafford They get a player and a future high draft pick and he is out of the conference.
Give up draft picks but not proven players. We whiff on draft day more than Rob Deer in a batting slump.
