Gholston was probably on the sidelines figuring out how to not suck.

Meanwhile, Darren McFadden was rumbling all over the Chiefs in their home stadium, leading their pathetic team to victory.

We dump noodle arm for a hall of fame QB, stack the Defense with talent, and we still can't win....After it's all said and done, after all the bombast, kool-aid, and rhetorical bloveation, we the fans get.....Nothing but the Same old Jets.

Fair enough, but I'm being honest when I say this. You guys like to hammer "Noodle arm", but Chad, IMO, was the better fit for your team and your offense and I was relieved when you unloaded him, because he always played us tough.

I thought I saw him near the sidelines but it was just some fan in an old Jeff Lageman jersey.

I don't know how many plays he was in for. But I did see him on one play where the guy blocking him could not stop him from smacking the runner (I think it was Morris coming right at him off tackle) backwards.

People forget the risk wth Gholston isn't his talent, but it's playing out of position. He played with his hand in the dirt at OSU. Now he's upright in a foreign position in a foreign D. He has to learn to play zone coverage and man coverage against the pass, he has to learn his areas and responsibilities and he has to harness them and play comfortable within the system. If he can't harness his new responsibilities and adapt to the system then it was a bad call. This is why people called for Keith Rivers, a man who knows how to play the linebacker position and has the speed to play off the edge in the 3-4.

Regardless, you cannot judge him after 2 games for the following reasons: a) It's only been two games. b) He is a rookie in a brand new D and a brand new position. c) He doesn't get a lot of PT, barely any actually, so he can't really grow in the D (I think it would be better if he started and got burned in the beginning but then got used to it while playing with everyone else on the field and his comfort level grew - however Pace and Thomas are doing really well). d) I personally don't expect him to excel until year 3, which has become the typical breakout year for many players (It's not like we expected him to come in and be a Patrick Willis).

I was just praying for a non Gholston sighting on the field. This guy is a liability on the field when the other team is ahead and are trying to eat up clock with running the ball. I don't want to see this guy on the field, unless it's a blowout from either side or special team.

It is amazing it took this long to realize how bad of a fit Gholston was going to be for this team. It makes me sad.. B.Thomas goes back to the position where he had the most success and now he is producing. C. Pace is playing very well on the opposite side. No real need for him if those two continue to stay consistent. Which brings me to my next point..

I believe I saw him handing Calvin Pace a water bottle on the sideline.

He also was watching on in awe from the bench as Jerod Mayo led the game in solo tackles.

Didn't we specifically draft this guy for pass rushing against teams like this?

Can we have an ounce of patience for the rookie learning a new position? It's week 2 folks.

There is no way you can cut him lol. He will take a year or so to adapt. Should he be making more progress sure.

I actually saw him playing on kickoffs. That's right. Our #6 pick is playing on kickoffs.
