What NT's should we have signed?

    Randy Moss wasn't signed.

Why would they dump Chad before?
So...Mangini should be criticized based on one of his 2 years going poorly W-L record wise....because we sucked the 37 years before him? Makes...complete sense.

OK...so it's annoying to me and not Tangini. But I guess I wouldn't post here if that stuff wasn't posted anyway.

Its also his right as a poster to berate you for said behavior. Its a two way street. You all fine on your right to bitch, but he is within his rights to bitch about your bitching.

As for where we are, we need to add to the O-line through FA. At least one guard and hopefully also a right tackle.

We need a pass rushing OLB and some help on the D line as well.

If we are able to upgrade these areas in the offseason, I think we are in good shape for the upcomming season.

Here is where we are as a franchise:

1 very good OL player, 1 with excellent potential who is struggling at times. Bad at QB, mediocre at best at RB, weak at WR, below average at TE.

On D we have a terrible DL, 1 excellent LB, 1 excellent corner and 1 excellent safety.

We have a young coach who has shown a lot of descipline and potential but also has made some real bone head in game decisions. We have a young unproven OC who showed nothing in year 2, the DC is below average and we have a new Special teams coach who is an unkown.

Our GM is a bean counter who has very little real experience evaluating talent. In two drafts he has done well at getting some good talent early but not great after round 2.

He did fine in '06 with the Smiths and Leon. Bender and Stuckey were fine picks last year also.

Smith are you kidding what did Smith do for us last year. If McCariens could actually catch a cold Smith would have been a full time special teams player. Bender was a practice squad player last year and Stuckey went late not for lack of talent but the fact that he was injury prone which turned out to be spot on why he dropped.

06 2nd round pick project unkown value. 3rd round pick bust out of the gate. 2 excellent special teams players. 07 two excellent starters and a total project at Tackle and an injured WR.

You expected/expect immediate starters from late round draft picks?

Brad Smith - Special teams ace, has his own package on offense.

Eric Smith - Injuries have hurt him, but has played well when he's been on the field. Much better athlete than fans give him credit for.

Bender - Drafted as a developmental talent at G or T. Actually drafted later than expected, and was a riser before the draft last year.

Stuckey - Talented potential slot WR in the 7th round who got injured. Showed alot of TC...but then again so did Clarke at one point.

Leon - 4th round pick, KR beast, good change of pace back.

Those aren't bad draft picks...I wasn't exactly jumping for joy about Brad Smith or Schlegel, but overall we've done a pretty good job in all rounds of the draft.
