its pretty much a ritual now.it always happens right before I go in the shower.just looking at myself in the mirror,talking to myself getiing pumped.then I get in the shower and continue to think about past tailgate parties and what is to come and then..... blah......all over dry heaves the works.its like poltergeist 2 with Craig T Nelson puking that huge worm up. and no I don't drink the night before games.I save myself for Sunday.

First Jets Game first game was Nov 92, Jets vs Chiefs the Dennis Byrd tragedy. Just so you all know if the Jets never win in the next 50 years it is my fault... Not only did Byrd go down, my childhood hero Al Toon retired the week of the game due to another concussion suffered by hit against Denver's Steve Atwater. My other hero Ken O'Brien (notice my handle) went out in the second quarter of the game due to a hand injury. Never forget that SOB Shotenhiemer threw a bomb on the first play after the 45 minute pause due to Byrd injury. Pass was completed and Jets lost by 20. That ambulance on the field will always be one of my first memories.... Go Jets
Jets-Browns in 2002 21-3 lead at halftime made it a fun 1st half. By the end of the game, it was the same old jets losing 24-21 and john hall's game tying FG being blocked.
i was only about 6 or 7 so i dont remember too much, it was a preseason game against the 49ers. It must have been around 89 or 90, we were behind the 49ers bench and this lady kept screaming I LOVE YOU JOE!......i didnt know who joe was and i def didnt know what the hell was going on in the game, so i think we left after halftime
My first Jets game was in Miami on Monday Dec 7, 1987. The Jets fell behind 27-0 at halftime but made a game out of it and wound up losing 37-28. This was the game when Marty Lyons blocked Dwight Stevenson during a fumble return TD causing him to blow out his knee which many Dolphin fans to this day are quick to remind us... My first Jets game in NY (NJ) was Nov 23, 1997 a 23-21 win over the Vikings. It was cloudy, a cold windy day, and Keyshawn Johnson had his first 100 yard game. Leon Johnson returned a punt for a TD on the Jets first possession and the Jets had a 23-7 fourth quarter lead until Brad Johnson led a furious 4th quarter comeback including a TD pass with :00 remaining to pull to within 2 points. However DE Rick Lyle stopped the Vikings RB Smith on the 2 point conversion and the Jets squeaked out a 23-21 victory. I remember jumping up and down and going crazy as the Jets celebrated their victory on the field the same way.....Oh and I remember the 2 hour traffic wait to get out of the Meadowlands :up:
25 & lived in Rockaway Beach Queens at the time. Making children is rather easy IMHO at any age say beginning at 14 so no kudos there
Are you sure it was pre-season? I know you were young but I can't remember the Jets playing a pre-season game against the 49ers and my memory goes back to the late 70's. I know the Jets played a home game against them in the regular season around the time you mentioned....
First Jets game: 1994 Jets vs. Pats at Foxboro Stadium. Jets blew a late lead. Boomer threw an INT for a TD to Ricky Reynolds of the Patriots. Crowd went wild. I left the stadium. First Home Game: 1997 Jets-Colts. Tuna's first year, late in the season. Jets were fighting for the playoffs and they absolutely stunk up the joint against a pitiful Colts team. Best Jet game I attended was the 2003 41-0 playoff game against the Colts. Loudest crowd ever. Nobody sat down the entire time. I remember thinking that the Jets were destined to win it all that year and that Chad was the next Joe Montana.

I was at that game. It was a lot of fun. Yes i remember the traffic being very bad. Ilive in the poconos and after already driving about 1 hour or so the toll at delaware water gap was closed for 2 hours because of a bomb threat on the bridge that night.

I'm 26, and I remember some games in Shea, but only very vaguely. My family had box seats. But I've been going to games all my life.
WOW, It was at Shea a long long time ago, And I think it was against the Green Bay Packers. Not sure of the year but it had to be late 70's or VERY early 80's
