Moss was terrible last year as well, if you have forgotten, while I think Culpepper is a quality QB he doesn't fit our offense at all, he needs a long ball threat and we have none, and he needs to be put in a vertical passing game and I doubt that we will have that
No, I have not forgotten, but do you chalk that up to him or Collins. He (Collins) made a lot of poor decisions throwing the ball. And I think Moss got hurt towards the end of the season too?
I chalk that to Moss not being anything more than a guy that can go deep, he doesn't run routes, Culpepper and Moss both need each other equally which is why Moss wants Culpepper on the Raiders
I agree they need eachother to be successful due to chemistry. Moss is a burner and tends to break routes over the middle. But for what he lacks in route running he can make up with pure size if you get it high enough. Dante lost that when he left. But in Moss's defense, Dante would throw early to Moss knowing he's get under it where Collins would hold on too long to the damn ball and threw late to him. I also agree we can't offer a speedster if he came here. More the reason to stay away.
Did you have 1PM Eastern time? I hope Jet fans are smart enough not to call for the Jet to sign Daunte. he was a great fantasy QB w/ Moss but a choker in big spots then was awful w/o Moss and now is coming off major knee surgery- No thanks!
i am proud to say im with the junc man this time....and nice game the other day, your boys beating duke.
Plus if he were to come here, hypotheically of course, he'd be here to rehab his knee like Ty Law did with his foot last year. He'd be gone come 2007 and we'd be up the river. I would prefer a healthy risk in Ramsey draft down and start building. Curtis can hold the fort for a while if we don't draft a high rated RB.
