I'm not really worried about our run Defense. Jenkins has been blowing it up in the middle and David Harris & Eric Barton are great tackling ILB's.
Running game, and Run defense. If they play like they've been, in pre season, we're shot. I was concerned with the secondary, but i feel we'll be ok, as long as Miller isn't our starting CB.
Definitely! We had zero push at the LOS last year in any short yardage situation. I expect that to be different this year.
like most, run D & O.I think the rush offense will be better this year, but the run D still scares me
I don't think that the Jets running game will be spectacular, but I think it'll be solid enough. I don't really have a lot of concerns. I saw a post about OL depth, but that is the same with every team. I think this is a really solid team. I guess my main concern is how long it'll take the team to gel. Once it does, I think this is one of the better teams in teh league.
yea thats in the back of my mind too. Week 7, week 10. If it takes down the true Iron Man, no one should ever be on the cover.
I'll tell you what, if Jones still can't get into the end zone this year then I would give the ball to Richardson and even at 55 he will find a way to get it done.
Madden Curse ... - The "bad" news first: - No! It cannot be broken ... But what you people don't get is that the Cover features No. 4 in a Packers Uniform ... - Just wait and see ... Unfortunately the Packers don't seem to understand nor realize that this season is not going to be as good as last year ... And for the Record, I'm not a Packer-Fan, nor a Jet-Fan perce ... I'm just a fan of "American Football" ...
The Jets are a cursed football team we want the Cover Curse, the double negative is the only way out.
Most intelligent Packers fans realize that the schedule for 2008 is a lot tougher than last year, so even if #4 were still there, they would probably not win 13 games again. Going far this year would be nice, but realists are thinking the Packers conducted their moves this year to position for 2009 and beyond, hence bring on the new QB and work out growing pains now, and get 2009 draft pick for old QB. Yes, that's right, despite Wild Things wild imagination in another thread that I have somehow been bashing Packers management for this move, I actually think it makes sense from a Packer non-short term POV, purely focused on W-L (if he would just read people's actual words instead of reacting to what he imagines they think, he might have figured that out).
Bob Sutton is my main concern. I think he sucks. Im also concerned more with the coordination of the run game than the players. We have a good line and decent backs, if we fail to effectively run the ball im blaming the coaching. I think mangini is solid but the others dont inspire confidence.
Some of the assholes in the media creating unnecessary hype over this year....and calling all Jet fans out for the bullshit of a few idiots.
I wouldn't ... I wouldn't worry that much about running, opportunities will present themselves ... - Even with a top-notch HB to run the ball, its no guarantee ... - Just look at how well the Vikings did last season ... No doubt AP was and still seems to be "hot", but that doesn't really help if running the ball is all you can do ... Having a "Deep Threat" weapon as No. 4, I'm confident that there will be a lot of rushing TD's for NY Jets in this season, allthough I expect to see more passing hah
Injuries, but you can't really control that; so I'm going to say stopping the run consistently. Running the ball consistently too. OT: What if they used a painted picture of the athlete on the madden cover instead of a photo, Would the curse be broken?
