Disrespect happens when results are less than expectations. It gets multiplied when expectations have been amped up beyond all reason by the media and a certain loudmouthed coach who believes in positive reinforcement of his own troops at all costs. Not saying that what Rex does is bad, because he has certainly changed the expectation levels of his players, but if you do that and then you hit a few ripples along the way those little waves can quickly become tsunamis and swamp the boat. The answer to all the disrespect is just to win the games. If the Jets do that the disrespect goes away. When they're a game off of .500 it just hovers there in the background waiting to emerge in full force when the Jets go on the road to a place they've had some difficulty winning in pursuit of a win against a team above them in the standings. I'm not surprised the experts are picking the Bills. It's the logical choice right now. If the Jets win a few in a row here they'll change that dynamic.
Chris Carter and Keyshawn take the Jets, while TJ, Ditka and Boomer take the Bills. For those wondering and care.
