that seems pretty accurate to me. the Jets beat a shit Fins team and an overrated Chargers team, neither of which are glowing examples that the Jets are a great team and certainly don't negate the three loses prior to them. the Charger victory is certainly a step in the right direction, but the Jets need to prove on the field that they are as good as they say they are because their body of work so far doesn't indicate it. that's what happens when you dig yourself a hole that they have with three losses to good to really good teams -- when you beat lower tier teams afterwards it doesn't propel you into the upper echelon. nothing disrespectful about stating that.

The Chargers also have a lot of "talent". Dallas is "loaded" with talent. Same with the Iggles. The talent argument wears thin when a team plays inconsistantly. Which those teams have and which the Jets have done for much of the 1st half. Beat Buffalo, Beat the Patriots and I have no doubt they'll get more "respect".
at the end of the day, what any jackass on tv or radio says has no bearing on the game (unless it has a slight indirect effect of firing up the jets when they're the underdog). so who cares.
