what's the probability that Mangini gets fired?

He deserves to go, but I give it a 90% probability he'll be back.

I think I've officially lost my patience with this team. Nonsense. Utter nonsense.

spagnolo (the giants DC) would be a pretty solid realistic choice IMO. cowher is a pipe dream.

I Think he showed today why he deserves to be fired. Bring in Cowher.

Ya know, if they can't get Cowher, I'd give Westhoff a shot if his health is up to it.

That's a pretty good point. There's nothing that can be said in his defense and no scapegoat on the horizon. They sure ain't gonna be blaming the NFL's golden boy, Brett Favre, so it's gotta land on Mangini's shoulder.

And it ain't like he's charismatic or smooth enough to buy himself an extra season or two when it's already clear he should be fired (ala Herm). When Woody brings him in for a conference, all he's gonna do is just sit there like the fat fuck he is and chew gum.

    It's Enough Already

How does a team that looked so sharp coming out of the bye collapse so
bad? And what does that say about the coach? I've been a avid Jets fan since the '60s and I'm so sick of this team not being able to get this done.
They can't win on the West Coast, what is this shit all about? As far as Mangini, is concerned he has to go, I don't see the players killing themselves for him and frankly I'm tired of seeing his blank look on the sidelines like he's
always amazed as he continually is outcoached. This is beyond comprehension.

Spagnolo is a bad fit because we dont have the personel for his defense. We have the players to run Cowhers defense which is the 3-4. I wouldn't be surprised to see his name pop up soon.

Considering that Woody is in love with Mangini, it's really hard to say. If I had to guess, I'd say that a big factor will be whether the Jets win 10 games. If they don't get to 10 after starting 8-3, there will be so much pressure to fire Mangini, that Woody might have to put aside his feelings for Mangini and his affinity for cheap head coaches, and let Mangini go.

But honestly, who knows what Woody is thinking.

I can see both coordinators being fired as scapegoats, and us enduring one or two more years of the Ball Boy before we start over...

Where do we go from here?

    50/50.

He's either fired, or he's not.

I'd lean towards "no," but I heard thats against Jets fans rules.

I say we, the fans, take over the team. We can do better. We have great ideas like "blitz more" and "be more aggressive" that this fatass wannabe doesn't have the balls to do.

I also wouldn't mind hiring a different coach every year until one wins the Super Bowl.

If we can get Cowher, he needs to get the fuck out.
