    Personnel.

Marty had David Nelson instead of Brandon Marshall.

QB and WRs, end of story, be the same reason the Patriots offense is stellar year in and year out, and look how many OCs they've had.

imagine if we had a real significant QB threat.....better than fitz......to team up with NFL wr's and a capable running game. wouldn't be out of any game. I think gailey was the dolphins OC during the 2000 season and the Monday miracle game. have to go watch that and check out the dolphin offense.

Okay, I give up. What would watching Gailey's 2000 Dolphins offense give you insight about 15 years later?

Let's us not forget the great Sparano and his run and pound game at all costs and in all downs.
God do we realize how lucky we are with Gailey? Sure he has better players than his predecessors, but also a crappier OL. What he brings is smarts, and develops schemes with mis matches to make his talent successful. Hell, it took him a nano second to figure out that aside from Amaro our TEs suck, and throwing to them a waste of a down.
What he does best is puts the talent available in a position to win, and God forbid, calling for plays beyond the first down marker on third down. He knows what it takes to move the chains, and his red zone strategy is probably the best we ever had.

It isn't 'just' Gailey. Having Fitzpatrick be familiar with his scheme has really accelerated the process here. That plus infinitely more talent at WR makes a huge difference.

I don't know if the line is really that much different from the previous years. The major difference is that now the QB won't sit in the pocket all day if no one is open. Fitzpatrick's ability to keep plays alive with his feet and not take costly sacks has extended many drives this year.

The fact that Willie Colon was a penalty machine the year before and was penalty free during his time under Gailey is a pretty good tell.

QB and WR, the Oline was better when MM was our OC, the jets finished 3 and 6th overall as a rushing team when he was here.

If we had a better Oline and a serviceable TE, this offense would be very difficult to stop.

I still wish Gailey should adjust to running the ball more with Ryan under center, it's not as easy for the defense to get penetration when the Oline can immediately engage them vs pretend they are pass blocking and try to open up lanes with Ivory being handed the ball 10 yards behind the LOS.

It's a mixture of talent and scheme. MM ran a WCO, and Gailey runs more of a spread. Also, Gailey's playcalling is leaps and bounds better than MM. The only game I really took issue with the playcalling was the game against BUF.

Gailey is a tremendous upgrade over MM and was one of the top signings of the offseason for this team, which is to be attributed to Bowles.

Gailey and Bowles suck in the First Half of all(?) our games IMHO

Credit them in making better calls after halftime

I like Gailey, I hate him at times. biggest criticism is throwing to chancy receivers like DSmith and Enunwa or Thomkins. Unless they are doubled covered ya gotta stick with Deck and BM. We threw to Powell for some big plays (screens) but please he is not a WR

I was comparing the o-line last year to the players that are playing now. Colon was definitely better this year, but Winters has been worse this year compared to Aboushi last year. Also, Brick has definitely lost a step compared to last year.

Gailey knows what to do in the red zone

Morningwood did not know what to do in the red zone.

Did we ever get to the red zone?

I don't want to blame everything on bozo, but I think bozo did have a big influence on play calling...G&P baby.

Brandon Marshall and a healthy Decker.
I know I am in the minority here, but I really do not think the success has anything to do with Fitz and firmly believe we would have been just as successful with Geno.

Not knocking Fitz, he is doing enough to move the sticks and put up points "If it a'int broke"
