Just ignore him, sooner or later he'll go away... probably when the draft ends. And if we get McFadden, i dont know if we will, i'm not Mike or Eric on April 26, i'm me.... i might root against him during his career as a Jet because of #28Martin... He's ruined liking McFadden in the least.
What the hell does this mean? How do you make a Dick Butkis/Lawrence Taylor? One part flour, one part what the hell are you talking about? Just curious, are you ever going to post anything of substance, or are you just going to stick to these moronic, hit-n-run, one liners?
Yeah ME!!! I'm kicking ass in a poll for a change. I see most of TGG is as wise in recognizing that McFadden is not the answer!! and Gholston is not good enough to be an outside linebacker drafted 6 overall.
I do not want to trade down to the 20s. I think, if Dorsey is available at 6, we should strike a deal for the Broncos 12 and maybe their second rounder. If that is too much I would take a third. I am not sure what the values are.
Apparently Curtis Martin was a jag too? That's who I would compare Jones to, based on production and running style. How is he getting up there in RB years? He's only been a starter for 4 years and is 29 years old. He has a lifetime 4.0 YPC. Same as Curtis Martin. In fact, aside from 2004 (something Jones could likely achieve behind that OL) their stats are incredibly similar accross the board.
cmon now, what made Cmart special was his consistency, his dedication, his toughness, his work ethic, his leadership, etc. That more than his talent or stats is what made him a legend. I like Thomas Jones but no way is he in the same class as a football player as Curtis Martin.

Ah, so he's a draft the "I can't make the transition from the NCAA to the NFL because I can't run around defenses i have to go through them" RBs Troll... interesting. See you next April when the next near bust is laying at our feet.
Ive got to say that I've been reading the forums for the past 2 weeks on and off again to see what others where thinking with the crazy FA. I am the happiest I've been for the Jets since I thought Parcells was going to bring us to the promised land of a Superbowl. I voted to trade down only because I do not like Mcfadden he has Pac Man Jones clone written all over him. He may be a superstar on the field but his attitude will get him into trouble real fast. If he got into that much trouble being in Arkansas imagine what he could get into up here in NY. I do like Gholston alot he incredible potential and seems to be a high char guy from the little Ive read about him I will not be sad if he comes to us unfort I dont think he will the Rams or Raiders I think are going to grab him. If that does I would love the rumor to be true and Dallas to trade up with there two first rounders. If that doesnt work. An idea I was tossing around with my friends was to trade down to Denver if one of the Stud DT's is still there picking up a 2nd rounder and possibly next years 2nd rounder as well. The benefit I think of trading with Denver which needs a DT over trading with the Bengals is then they would have more of a pressing need of a possible trade still for Robertson which I like but I dont think we can afford.
Trade down if McFadden or Gholston isn't there. I would prefer mcfadden though so I voted for Draft McFadden.
I voted to trade down. Dont you all see that we have not added a game breaker on offense. Yeah we improved the line but we do not have that gamebreaker that every playoff team needs. I hear you now, why didnt you vote for Mcfadden, because RB happens to be the only skill off position we are set at - Jones, Washington, Chatman....come on that is stacked. We need a WR replacement for Coles that will be ready to be a #1 in 2 -3 years when Coles drops off. There is no WR worth the #6 pick, so trade down to the middle of round 1 and address that skill position - Limus Sweed. With the extra picks in rd 2 and 3 address LB and CB. That would be the best course of action that would make the d rock solid (especially with jenkins and pace in FA) and would give us that explosive offensive player who could have an immediate impact this year and be a star in 09 and 2010. Those that disagree....what happens if Coles or Cotchery go down..? Both missed games last year. Please dont answer Stuckey from Clemson our 7th rd pick last year who missed all of last year. Trade down, pick up top WR, CB or LB.
Ellis(*), Abraham, Thomas and Robertson....Gholston Thomas...McFadden Why not go after a RB again with this pick? It's been so long since the last RB bust. We've already had a handful of dL busts this decade (*not a bust, but not a superstar either). If McFadden is truly the real deal, Thomas Jones can keep Sutton company on the sideline as far as I'm concerned. Draft McFadden if he's there. If not, THEN think of a defensive lineman. But unless we plan on being in that top 10 draft place again anytime soon, don't trade down because we're not going to have many more top 10 opportunities. Yeah, right.
I would trade down, hopefully with the Cowboys for their two firsts. Quentin Groves and the best CB or WR available
