if we get to the divisional game i say this year is a success. of course i'd want more but getting there would be surpassing a lot of expectations at the beginning of the year.
Consistent and aggressive gameplans that utilize the talent on this team to their maximum potential. I want to see Thomas Jones getting 25-30 carries a game, right from the start of the game. I want to see the linebackers rushing the passer every play while our cornerbacks play man to man coverage and our safeties provide deep support. I don't want to see our linebackers and defensive backs running an 8 man zone coverage and allowing the opposing receivers to get open anyway. I don't want to see Thomas Jones getting less than 15 carries despite the fact that he is consistently effective. I want to see the Jets play off of Jones' success with play actions. I want to see the Jets continue to run screen passes. I don't want to see Favre doing that stupid little hop before handing the ball off. I don't want to see the Jets giving the ball to guys 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage and expect them to make plays. I want to see the Jets going back to the slants and the tight end curls that worked so well for a few weeks. If the Jets can do all of the above consistently and often, then I will believe again. To that effect, under this coaching staff, I don't believe I will be believing again anytime soon... especially after making me believe for a few weeks, my trust in this CS is at its lowest that it has ever been.
I never loose faith , But I'm now see a reverse Karma taking effect. A Brady less Patriots ; we should win. The door mat of the AFC East Miami (Last year) ; we should win. I firmly believe that every bounce will go against us , every tipped ball will go against us. By judging the officiating lately , every call will go against us. Ill tell ya what , If the Bills come in our house (For what ever that means) and we Blow another fart or Loosman looks like the next coming , I for one will question the coaching staff and their inability to adjust during the game. A blown holding call shouldn't be the excuse to our failure. We hold all the cards so to speak and I like that situation.
Fans that weren't idiots that either think the team is winning the superbowl or going 0-16 based on the last four games. I want fans that believe in patience with this current regime that has drafted well, signed good players and made the team competitive. This team is still not ready to be an elite team that beats up on bad teams can consistently play with top level teams. We were lucky to have an easy schedule and no injuries. We do not have enough good players to be considered a great team.
Other than the patience part, with no evidence offered in support of it, I don't get what this post is supposed to mean.
It means that our fans need to look at this team for what it is. We were never that good this year and all of you started to expect a superbowl. We have no pass defense and we have no passing game down the field. These are not things that can be fixed by the coaches now so you'll have to live with it this season.

The Jets could win the SB, and I still wouldn't believe in them. In all seriousness, you just have to be behind them no matter what.
I still believe.............yes we've played like crap the last 2 weeks....but we all know how good this team can be!........keep the faith brothers and sisters!
