This is the worst skid of my fandom 15yrs no playoffs, how is that even possible.

Then to see this is the end result from a complete rebuild, not too say we don't have talent, we do on both sides of the ball, it's rather sad
Players who come here, once they put on the Jets uniform, instantly lose their will to do anything, there IQ drops 50 points.

There's no rainbow on the horizon either.

Same. But even seeing the results each week is soul crushing.

We're about ready to reach that point. There's just not much more of this that I can take.

I'll always root for the Jets, but I'm almost not watching football period. Product is shit even if you watching 2 real teams compete in a game. Penalties, incorrect officiating, 4 hour football game has like 45 min of actual game action

I think it started to happen over the past few weeks for me, I've caught maybe 40 percent of their games. I'll just stop watching football and be a 2 sport person. I watched the end of today's game because I was home and could. I definitely am not making an effort to watch them, and that may be for a very long time.

I've lived in San Antonio since the early 2000s and they wore me down pretty quickly.

I stepped away after they allowed Robby to walk and traded away Adams and there were other factors NFL and not football related that made me walk away for a bit

I came back week 3 last season I don't regret the decision to do so.

I only watch the games I don't listen to or read the coverage. I've been listening to the FAN and ESPN a bit more this season. I watch other games but I don't follow the rest of the league I used to check profootballtalk I never go there now.

It's a pasttime and not that serious.

Even at 2-6 it's a escape from real life even if only for a bit.

I'm with you on this. I've watched two games this season that didn't feature the Jets (Bengals/Pats at the beginning of the year and then the Baltimore/Washington game a couple of weeks ago).

I'm really starting to hate football.

I sincerely hope the place is fucking empty Thursday. Being a fan since the 80s , one thing I know is jet fans have been loyal. But we also need to be heard. And unfortunately I think that’s the only way

I’m getting apathetic to the NFL, as a whole.

That'll never happen. It''ll just fill up with fans of the other team and Woody will still get his money.

What should happen is the Jets fans should absolutely pack the stadium. And then proceed to boo quite literally everything that happens on the field as loudly as possible. Make it like the Zach Wilson game agains the Jaguars on literally every single play. Make it embarrassing for Woody on a national, standalone game.

Feel the same. Haven’t watched anything since week 2 other than the jets. It’s usually on the tv sundays in the background til dinner is over. But I’m not invested anymore

So, I knew they were going to shit this game away because it's what they do. I thank my lucky stars that I have NFL+ as I was able to fast forward through the game. Didn't even have time to get angry at it seeing as I was already prepared for the loss.

This team is over. When you have this much talent and you can't muster more than that, it's over. Even as I was fast forwarding, I was telling my wife how unprofessional, disjointed, poorly coached the offense looked. You name it. It's like they're not doing any game planning all week and they just show up on Sunday, suit up, draw plays in the dirt and go. This isn't even an NFL franchise at this point. It's a collection of individuals wearing the same gear but doing 22 different things. I think I'm done, for the year at least. We'll see how I feel about them in the offseason.

Today was a real sad day for Jets fans. If the NFL had a shred of integrity they would deal with Johnson. They don't, they still print cash and it's clear there are fans who will continue to pay out no matter what. There's no incentive for the NFL to do anything about this team so... JSMH...

If it hasn't happened by now, it's not happening. I care a lot less, I won't allow myself to have my whole week ruined, I sit and chuckle at their stupidity rather than breaking and throwing things, but I haven't come this far to give up.

^this. It's become more about the defiance of fans who are amazed at my dedication, and watching new SOJ moments that I knew were coming. As opposed to the way it used to be where I would be shocked by them, pissed off, incredulous. Not anymore.

Same. I've always said that I would lose interest in the sport before I gave up on the team. And that goes for all sports.

I am in this too deep so the only way out for me is if the Jets stop existing.

Don’t give up on your Yankees. I am not a Yankees supporter but would rather see the Yankees win over the dodgers any time.

I've reached the point where even that isn't really "fun" anymore. Where I used to get a kick out of the Jets doing their SOJ bullshit was watching my dad's reaction to both the situation and then my reaction to it. I really wished he could have still been around to watch the opening game of last season. He would still be laughing at that. He was also the one who tried to talk me out of being a Jets fan back in my early days of being a football fan. Wished I'd listened. That was definitely some sage advice right there. Now, without that comic reaction to the stupid things the Jets do, I can't even find the sliver of enjoyment in that anymore either.

I'm not sure I could even enjoy a good season at this point. There would just be the constant anticipation for the other shoe to drop that I doubt any of it would be fun anyway.

I'm with you. I had a podcast for a little while, called it The Fake Spike, and would basically rant and rave about how they were just dysfunctional, all these things. I had to embrace the darksider thing, or I would go and insane. Like you just said, I'm actually getting past that now and falling into apathy. The angry highs are nowhere near as high, there's never any joy anymore, it has become almost a war of attrition to see whether I die or they win first. I truly wonder if I have capacity for joy left with this team.
