C-Mart had a knee that was waiting to die since he was in college. LT might miss one or two games this year, but the way he trains I don't see LT breaking down yet. Not to mention he's going to be a 3rd down back, which limits his wear this year.
I agree. I think Greene is a lot more likely to get injured than LT, given their track records. In which case, Powell will step in and do a serviceable job.
Running backs also signed up fr their position. Knowing what it will/can do to themself. Have to admire and support their role
I've already penciled McKnight in for some significant touches. I just meant similar styles... it's a stretch we hopefully won't have to go to.
If he stays healthy, he should get about 250 carries for 1200 yards. I don't expect many receptions with both LT and McKnight both being higher on the pecking order. His total touchdowns is the hardest stat to predict because that depends on whether or not he'll be receiving the goal-line carries. If he does I could see him getting as many as a dozen scores (possibly even more).
I'm expecting SG to have a big year and start giving opposing defenses more to worry about then just game planning for Holmes and Plax.
More important question: how many mile-sized holes will the Terminator open up for Shonn Greene this season?
John Conner will do one of two things: Pick up the RB behind him, and throw him over the defense for a 18 yard gain. or, Take an opposing LB by the ankles, and beat another LB with him. This will happen on every play he's not picking up his RB to throw him over the defense. The NFL will then install the "5 yard throw rule," where its illegal for John Conner to throw people more than 5 yards in a game. He can, however, continue to beat LBs with their fellow teammates, because it looks really cool. John Conner will then take down the Cyborg known as Al Davis.
