i guess we weren't watching the same game. i saw pass plays where sanchez was throwing behind the recievers and then when he was on target, the recievers dropping catchable balls. how does schotty get the blame for that. he can't throw the ball and catch them as an offensive co!

i see a team that took a step back this year on the oline and recievers, top that off with the fact sanchez has been unable to take the next step to another level and i see a team that will fight all season but come up a bit short.

great coaching from rex but just too many holes on the oline and recievers. throw in a better safety somewhere along the line also. too many holes and expectations too high.

some seem to think that because we made the afc champiuonship game that we're entitled and expected to ge beyond that this year. what i see is we missed that superbowl window and now need some modest rebuilding and back at it next year with a good draft and FA pickup here and there.

Who said that every thread has to go somewhere? Why can't this be a place where Jets fans can blow off steam and rant to vent their frustrations? If you don't agree with them or think their opinions irrational, fine, but how about just skipping those threads. Calling these posters "retards" is out of line and uncalled for.

This game was definitely a step in the right direction and back to our identity. Still the offense is worrisome. It just seems like we can never take advantage of an opponents weaknesses. No matter how bad the defense the jets seem to play down to their level. We saw it in stretches last year where we had to turn it on in the 4th qtr to beat a bunch of lesser teams. Also how many games do we have where we don't even get our wideouts involved until late in the game or even at all. I don't know who is to blame but it seems to me we don't even look to throw a pass more than ten yards until we are down two scores. Then Sanchez makes some great throws (like the one to holmes today) and you just have to wonder where was this the first 45 minutes when we went 3 and out 7 times. It's just frustrating and you wonder if this team will take the next step until this is fixed.

The offense today was about as bipolar as I conveyed that thought. When the running game got going, it was good. But overall the offense, with its 3 and outs or touchdown performance, was bad. No offense can do what it did today without putting the defense in a bad position. Its Tom Brady, they have to at least get to midfield and play the field position game.

I know Schotty's the issue. Rex addressed the issue and this is a game the Jets offense can build upon as long as Rex has a hand in guiding its mentality.

Because there is a difference between someone hating on the coaches and team with a well though out post, and just conveying a completely awful thought that has no other purpose but to be ignorant and waste bandwith and get in the way of good discussion.

There are some people here with the purpose of pissing others off, and there are some who come here only after a Jets loss to make a thread that pushes others off the board. If they're going to piss and moan without intellect, then we can reply the same way.

I'm okay with this football shit, but its just those who have no basis for their opinions that I can't stand. And there are plenty who know way more than I do.

Its those who can gripe with backing it up with some sort of well thought out post that I don't mind.

But the guy with 200 posts in 4 years who shows up after a loss to say the most ignorant things ever? I'm going to make fun of him. Its how I vent after a loss.

Don't disagree with that, but when you start off a thread saying your thread is intelligent, and no other threads started after games are, is opening yourself up for shots and is a bit of an ego trip..

My thoughts on the Jets today.

Sanchez was fidgety and off target early in the game. Miseed Keller and Holmes on a couple of balls that could have moved the chains. Then he got some rythm on the TD drive and played pretty well. Unfortunately, Burress and some of the other receivers started dropping some balls at bad times.

Greene ran the ball well when he had room. He ran hard, which is big.

Brady and the Pats were ready for the Jets adjustments this time and made some plays. The Pats finally played physical on offense which has been missing for a long time.

Nice win for the Pats, but a lot can happen between now and the next game between these teams. The Pats have a rough batch of games (Cowboys, Steelers, Giants) between now and then, and it could be a totally different story by then.

I know. But when put up next to "omg we suck and fire him and the QB sucks too" my thread looks pretty good.

I've also learned that the word "intelligent" scares off the idiots from derailing a thread. It makes good SOJF repellent.

hahahahah......great avatar, man!! I needed something to laugh at.

Something I learned tonight. I'm sorry, Mick, Ben-Jarvis Green-Ellis?? Really? Couldn't get a stop that last drive? I'm still fucking miffed about it.

    Jets are not good.
If not for the gifts from Romo, they would be 1-4 right now.
    Plax sux.
    Tone and Mason are whiners.
    They cannot stop the run.
    7-9

Oh....and it's obvious that Schotty is a scared man with no confidence in his Qb (unless there's no other chance) and his running attack has no imagination. None. Please leave this joke of a OC in New England.

    Agreed.

The 1st quarter looked like the Jets weren't ready to play, and then when the settled down they played pretty well.

Greene finally got a chance to play his style of football. Mangold returning has something to do with that.

I noticed that the Pats did something different, it was looking old school for once. I hate the spread offense in the NFL. I actually liked seeing Brady under center for once. Good for you guys.

I do think that this game is something to build upon, and they'll be 4-3 going into their bye week.

The Fins are dead with Moore under center, and SD never travels well. The Jets should be able to match up well and get back over .500

This. I can't believe the 1st what? 3 drives ended in 3 and outs because instead of 1 damn run on that defense,3 times they called a stupid ass slant play.

    Rex fucked up.

How he didn't have DeVito and Pouha out there to make Brady beat him I don't know.

I'd rather lose to the best QB in the NFL right now instead of a Law Firm. That's on Rex and Pettine. I hope they never do that again.

I was tempted to start a thread after the game ,but realized i was pissed so i didn't. But i will stick to this- Last year was our chance, and the loss to the steelers was very depressing becuase i knew we were not getting there this year.
