People were calling for Faneca and TJ all season for a reason. TJ was good for us because our O line rocked and he never fumbled but he wasnt really making any big plays by himself. Faneca was getting pancaked far too often and in terrible positions and he would not be good for us now when we are trying to expand our passing game.

If you think the articles are funny - try reading the posts by the general public. Talk about pure comedy.
There isn't. The only thing that can stop our offense is brain farts by Schotty. They ought to let him install the game plan, and then tell him to stay home with that hot wife of his, and let Sanchez call the plays on Sunday..
There's no team in the NFL that can field a defense to stop us when we're on our game.We can beat teams in every aspect offensively.
it just goes against my inner-jet to be overly confident about winning on sundays. let's see how the jets handle the broncos in denver off a short week and then we'll talk.
Agreed, but the concern was perhaps more about whether the replacement would be any better. I don't think that Slauson has necessarily been a huge upgrade on Faneca as it is, but in the context of the value each player brings relative to their cost then clearly it has been a very good move.
I have been quite confident since the Jets manhandled the Pats in the second half of that game. But this game gives me pause. Along with everyone else I like the matchups when the Jets have the ball. But when they do? Not so much. Denver has a lot of passing options. We'll see more zone coverage by the Jets, imo, than we are used to. What they will do with the blitz out of more zone coverage will be interesting. I participated this week in the threads that talked about whether the Jets resort too much to the blitz, and pooh poohed those who argued they do. But when the Broncos use their three wideout set, bringing five or six guys is a high stakes game. We may well see more feints by the Jet D than usual, and more patience when Denver aligns with more pass protection.
I really don't see how the Jets don't score 3 rushing TDs. I'd even throw some Brad Smith runs in there to take carries away from LT and Greene in this thin air and keep the defense shitting themselves. Those backups won't know how to deal with a Brad Smith run. I'm gunna predict over 240+ yards on the ground. I want them to stack the shit out of the box with Braylon and Holmes out wide. What to do Denver? What to do? Blitz Orton and his comp % drops by 22%. The Jets blitz all day long. This is an easy win as long as the Jets don't put up their feet and relax like I'm going to on Sunday.
