Even though someone could throw a bowling ball towards home plate, and he'd still swing at it? Matsui is 10x the offensive player Melky is. The kid even had his shot earlier this year, and he managed nothing. He's right where he belongs.
and although melky isn't a great defensive player he's 10x the defensive player Matsui is. The yankees would be a better team if matsui was gone and melky started in LF.
This is a dead-end argument junc. Neither of us is going to give in to the other side, so it's really not worth it. I would rather have Matsui's bat, and you would rather have Melky's glove. Both are fair arguments, and I would say honestly, there is no right or wrong answer. It's simply different viewpoints on the same position. Given the choice, me personally, I wanted to grab Manny off waivers a couple years ago. Can you imagine him in our lineup? And his glove is okay, so we'd be far better overall than we are now. But we blew that chance.
Roger. Exactly what are your credentials, other than having an opinion like everyone else? And you certainly have not exhibited a high baseball acumen. Other than to throw out childish and inane statements from time to time, what exactly do you contribute?
first of people comparing anybody from the mets to jeter is asinine, that is one example. someone being in the league over 10 years versus a 3rd or 4th year player. ridiculous. saying maine has the cy young in the bag. ridiculous. have you guys read anything i wrote saying arod wins the mvp? or the batting titile? or last year when i started my derek jeter thread, i mentioned he could be considered and at the end i was gunning for it. i contribute enough to this forum and i just came back to GG. im not trolling, im not calling anyone out, im being me, its called blazing. and if i wanted to contribute something special i can, but didnt, this is a football site, so my frame of mind is in football, and 97% of my posts are in the jets forum, so suck on that one kids.
