Do you see Baltimore's D now??

It's like night and day without Rex. I believe Baltimore is punching itself for letting Rex slip away.

Well, for starters, that first paragraph is a tad over the top. Right now is he a better DC than HC? - yea, probably, but that would be said for any rook HC coming off a DC job. Ryan needs to grow into the HC role for sure....and he will. Want to know why he wasn't selected for HC in Balt?....listen to him in a press conference. He's a tad "rough." don't ya think? His players thought he should have gotten the job though, and so do a lot of Ravens fans.

I disagree on the leadership point. Ryan has actually show a lot of leadership. You might not like his style, but it is still showing leadership. This team puts out 20x the effort we have seen in the past, and they do it every game. That doesn't happen without leadership. Now they just need to control their fire and they'll be a force to be dealt with. Did you ever play? Because if you did, I don't see how in the hell you could NOT see the result of Cortland in this football team. Cortland was the right move.

.....and comparing Ryan to Kotite is just ludicrous. Kotite praised his pathetic teams in a desprate attempt to get them to play. Ryan praises his players because he MEANS it, and knows they will respond to it. Besides, he doesn't even have a full season under his belt yet, and his team is already doing better then Kotite's teams ever did. Bad ascertion.......

Ryan is a good coach and he'll get better. Shotty, on the other hand, is a nit-wit and needs to go away before this offense will consistantly produce the results that we are expecting. Shotty is constantly trying to out think the other guy and the only person he out thinks is himself. Ryan is giving Shotty his "space" in order to allow him to control his own destiny, and to maintain some continuity on the team. But neither will extend beyond this season.

Strangely enough, I do remember what I wrote. Did you read it? I said he had "shades" of Kotite, not that he "was" Kotite. There's a difference.

And you're saying when you watched the Bills game and second Dolphins game, you didn't think to yourself, "I've seen this before... this expression of befuddlement... this lack of attention to detail...this 'what else could go wrong today'..." You're being intellectually dishonest, or you're just haven't been around long enough to have the history.

Everything you said was great but I have to disagree on the last paragraph. You have to give Schotty another year with this crew. I keep saying, the centerpeice of the offense is the QB and this is their first year together. BE is playing in his 4th game with this offense. Hopefully BE will be back next year. If that's the case then next year will be a true evaluation of what this Offense can do. Too many moving parts that are green to make a true eval. You can't judge Schotty on the past when he's had 4 different QBs in 4 years.

If next year is more of the same - then I will be right there pushing Schotty off the cliff. Time and patience my fellow brethren. We still have some pretty young key components on this team and we could be a good team for a long time....
