I'd rather have Revis on Gronk than Cro. At least when Gronk catches a pass, Revis has a chance to make the tackle.

Yeah you beat me to the injury part. Not enough to keep him off the field for the most part, but his improved play the last few games leads to the obvious conclusion he is feeling better. I tend to agree Cro gets too much criticism here. Having said that he's not worth $8mil for next season.

For sure if Brick can take a pay cut that would ease the pain everytime he gets beat. He's on my list because he's a top paid LT giving us production of probably any other average joe at LT.

I think its time we started rebuilding the line with young talent.

Few teams have regretted using high draft picks on OL.

I'm down for our whole offseason to be about dumping players holding us back and beefing up our offense only. Sign wilk first things first. & Unless we find a decent priced MLB to take Demario's spot (Henderson?) i see no need to pour more $ in the defense. Sign/draft a RB. Sign the best o-lineman WE CAN AFFORD. Draft o-lineman first and second pick unless something crazy happens draft day.

The title to this thread is very confusing. Who would you mind NOT returning. What that means is: "Which Jets would you be upset about losing."
Then you listed Jets that you don't want to see back, but that's the opposite of what the thread's title means.

Based on your OP's post, the thread's title should have been: "Which Jets should we ditch after the season?" Or something like that.

Anyway, I think Cromartie is sure to be cut after the season, as he has no INTs and gave up some big plays. He hasn't been bad, but for $8m you expect way more output and consistency.
DeMario Davis we also probably shouldn't bring back.
Quigley shouldn't have been here more than 1 year; he can only punt to one side of the field and he frequently gets really poor distance.

Depending on how Folk deals with his injury recovery, and how well Bullock does... we might replace Folk with Bullock. Also I don't think Kerley will be back. I think Kerley is good but it doesn't seem like he's fitting in Chan Gailey's system that well, and he's not a good punt returner.

Re-Sign Ivory, re-sign Powell, cut Cromartie, cut (or trade) Kerley & Geno, re-do Brick & Breno, let Pace, Cumberland, Snacks & Demario hit free agency, extend Mo, bring a decent FB in and get rid of Bohanon. That's pretty much it for the most part.

I agree with much of this, but not very likely to happen imo. For one thing, with Bowles being a former DC and the Jets' LBs being pretty slow and not getting much of a consistent pass rush, you know that's going to be a priority. Another reason is that the Jets have a lot of defensive FAs.

A note on Quigley, I think he's been punting a lot better these last few weeks. At the beginning of the season he was terrible. While we should upgrade the position I think he has been punting better as of late.

I'd be okay with it if we draft an OLB.

I can understand that. The only reason I wouldn't is because I've been clamoring for a topflight pass rushing OLB prospect for over 10 years. The other aspect is that unless a QB or WR Mac loves falls, at this point, the only offensive player I could see the Jets taking in the first round would be an OT. I'd certainly be happy is that's the case, but would be equally happy with an OLB as long as he's not another Gholston.

Dee Milliner, the guy is truly a waste of a roster spot. No hate but sweet Jesus we're at the point where ANY player is better than having him. The guy gets on the field and gets hurt each time, every time. He hasn't produced anything in two seasons.

Many of the people who I want gone are showing why in tonight's game.

    Quigley
    Bullock
    Cumberland
    Winters
    Cro
    Davis
    [Edit] Bobby April!

Its pretty much a broken record at this point with these guys.
