The thing that makes no sense is people calling for over the top stuff. We live in an era where porn is accessible with ease and mainstream TV shows contain famous actresses who get naked with somewhat regularity. Do we really need half time performances and commercials with that nonsense? Just give me commercials that I can laugh at or something unique that's interesting. Half time show, just give a good performance.
Watching Katy Perry sing without showing her tits is like watching Rihanna sing wearing a business suit.. What's the point?
How about a halftime show that appeals to adults instead of 12 year olds. Watching the HTS last night was like watching Nickelodeon. The commercials? If they're going for bland, they certainly got that dialed in. The Networks did buy up a lot of the time to pimp their own shows so I guess we couldn't find enough "wholesome" adds at $1mil per minute or so to put on the air.
Super Bowl commercials should either be funny or over the top. Don't be depressing like a few of them were last night, don't be sexually explicit the way some have been in prior years.
Every person I watch with was creaming themselves over it. Dunno what you're all smoking. That show was insane.

Are you kidding? Katy Perry was clad in skimpy outfits, and most of the songs were about "bumping and grinding", or getting nasty in various ways, I was thinking THIS is their way of "toning it down"....I would still not want my kids watching that filth! It was nice to see "Go Daddy" eliminating the cheap T&A from their commercials, out of respect for the fact that families with young children will be watching the SB. (they might have made the change for other reasons, but still good to see). TV really needs to clean up their act. It's gotten ridiculous, so maybe this year's (slightly) toned down presentation is a step in the right direction. If horny guys want to play with themselves shamefully in the privacy of their bedrooms, there's always porn (another huge problem in our society, but I won't get into that here). If the entertainment industry has to stoop so low in an effort to reach the 18-35 demographic, it's kind of pathetic....shows no talent or creativity. Hollywood and TV need to return to the standards of decency (now called "censorship") they employed in the 40's and 50's!
What's wrong with that?! I thought it was a good, thought-provoking public service announcement kind of thing. There are too many selfish overgrown adolescents posing as parents out there who wouldn't know responsibility if it flashed across their Twitter feeds, flew out of their dumbass phones and hit them between the eyes!
This would have been the perfect year for a wardrobe malfunction. They gotta get Kendrick Lamar for a SB halftime show.
Yeah, because girls aren't supposed to be girls anymore, women are supposed to be like men, men are more like girls (or adolescent boys), every other image we see in the media is some adolescent sexploitative disgrace, then we wonder why middle school girls are getting pregnant, having abortions (psycologically scarring themselves for life), even supposedly "mature" adults are doing the same kinds of things, broken homes and abuse of all kinds are on the rise, it's an upside-down, screwed up world we live in....OK so maybe it's mostly in the media and the big cities, but still it affects us all.....I really hope people realize how stupid and unhealthy this all is, and realize the wisdom of our ancestors in terms of social morality, and the pendulum starts to swing back... ....on a lighter note, anyone else notice how most of these live events nowadays, like the SB and the Academy Awards, look so dark and "gothic", like some kind of metallic, futuristic dystopian vision? What's with that? Everyone dresses in black, strange futuristic sets, ominous musical arrangements, etc.....kind of sinister and forboding if you ask me!
