Good point OPTION 3,, But before you light the dynamite have the BEST DECISION MAKERS Eg Harbaugh in place to see who we don't want and who stays
If not the Jets, White likely signs with Vegas or Tampa Bay. His playing style is very Bradyesque and he'd be a good fit in that scheme.
We're stuck with Wilson due to the contract and the fact that nobody in their right mind would trade for him. The rest of the QBs currently on the roster? Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I was all in on MW from what I saw last season and this season too, before Buff rib injury. I think he left a lot of good tape out and I think he still has intangibles that I can't unsee ... scanning the field, going through 3-4 progressions, the problem is that he got injured ... AGAiN. Problem # 2 is that as someone else above said, unfortunately, as a 5th round pick he had to show without leaving much doubt that he is a viable option. Bc he kept getting hurt, he did not do that. I don't think the Jets can go into 2023 with MW and ZW battling it out. Most likely MW will sign a deal elsewhere that will too rich for what the Jets will pay him, and may even get a shot to be a stop gap starter, which the Jets may not offer. All that being said, let's see what happens. You never know. Maybe the coaching staff (if they stay) love him at his price point compared to what other QBs will cost. IMO there are better options for the Jets at QB and they are: 1. Daniel Jones (give this guy 40m per year, he's young and still ascending, completely UNDERRATED even by Giants fans. 2. Derek Carr not much of a winner but hard to argue with his numbers. I'd be mindful of what he'd cost though. 3. Geno Smith: had an awesome season and if you watched him he really spins it and throws one of the best deep balls in the league right now. Would love to see him and Garrett hook up down tbe field. 3 year deal for the 32 y/o, let Zach back him up and watch. 4. Now I get to MW, and another type to battle it out (Minshew, Baker, or Darnold) while Zach is 3rd string developmental project or traded. Problem here is that the cost of signing MW, either of those 3, AND still paying Zach #2 pick money will probably be prohibitive. Will wish him the best if he leaves. Absolute warrior, gave his all here and can be successful in this league
