    Exactly.

And I think that we all need to put that drop behind us. Wouldn't have changes anything other than maybe a different draft pick (and some shit talking to Patriots "fans".)

Keeping Sanchez as the starting Qb will hinder Hill's development. Just another reason to move on from what is not working.

Can we not turn everything into a Sanchez thread?

It's a valid point. The question is "what can we expect from Hill?", and keeping Sanchez hurts Hill.

Was it not Hill that had a ball bounce off his chest that hit him perfectly in the endzone from Sanchez? Do you attribute that drop to Sanchez's palm grease? Because it sure as hell wasn't the throw that caused it.

I think a better way of phrasing this question is "What can't we expect from Hill?" I don't believe we can expect over 6 touchdowns or over 600 yards receiving. Do I hope i'm wrong and he has more? Yes, I also hope he becomes a more consistent, polished player in his second year.

30-45 grabs for 400-600 yards and 2-6 touchdowns is about what I would expect.

I don't think his numbers will drop next year. Hopefully the entire offense is more consistently healthy like they were against Buffalo week 1 last year and the offense, as a whole, improves.
I'd say probably around 35-40 catches for 400-450 yards

you guys show little faith in mornhinwegs offense. guys are going to be open. much more open than mark has ever seen in a game before. im not saying hes going to be hte greatest qb ever, but hes got a shot at success with this system. its a good one. theres always someone open.

hill will get a lot of deep looks. if his catch totals are not that high, his yardage will be. he might get a few tds as well. he should do well. mm likes to go deep a lot.

Not like it hasn't been said before but he's incredibly raw, has terrible hands, and is not as athletic as most people give him credit for. Yes, he's fast as hell and can jump, but his body control, flexibility, and coordination could definitely use some work.

Needs to work his technique BIG time.

Typical homer response. Very good based off of what? Just his size and speed? Quite a few players came through here with all the physical skills but weren't football players. You probably said the same about Fat boy Robertson and Vernon Gholston.

I'm hoping for at least 40 catches, and 5-6 TD's. He needs to get over the drops.

Not expecting much progress. He entered league raw. In his second year, he's going to see his second offensive scheme. There's also big question marks concerning who Jets will have at QB. Big flux going on with OL starters can drag down the entire offense if Jets don't find decent replacements.

Another consideration is Santonio coming back. In 2010 with Burress playing the right side, Santonio was dbl teamed (DB and Saftey) on nearly every pass play. If Santonio has a good year, Hill will find himself 1/1 much of the game. And with his speed, and no Safety help over the top, he could actually grab a few long balls.

Edit: Teams won't roll safety help from Tone to Hill until Hill burns them a few times with his speed. This also means DB's won't be jamming Hill on the line, they'll be playing back to prevent being out-run, especially with no safety help. Getting off the line was a problem for Hill, and some of this may go away just by having Tone dbl teamed on the other side.

Or the ball that hit him in the hands in the NE game, that cost is a win.

And Hill, provided he hangs on will be able run squares and slants and turn upfield, with no one there tmo catch him, with either Keller or Cumberland working the middle, Holmes can do the same thing, he just doesn't have the same breakaway ability.

In my opinion nothing much, especially in this new O. HE's a deep threat with shit hands. That's it. He's going to make some sick plays and then he'll have some baffling drops... this is what Stephen Hill is.

Hill's going to be a #1 WR for this team one day assuming Sanchez gets the boot and a real QB is brought in. He has all the attributes to be great. People overreact to the drops this year and just want to find a reason to bitch about him especially since he wasn't a popular pick when the draft occurred.

He's raw, he needs time to grow and learn the position, but he has the tools to succeed. Demaryius Thomas didn't come into the league and light it on fire and even admitted he didn't know how to run routes until he started training with Peyton Manning. I'd say things are going pretty well for him.

The kid is only going to be 22 years old in April, came from a college offense where the ball was seldom thrown, and played with one of the five worst QB's in the NFL last year, yet he's already being ridden off as a bust and a hack who can't play. Unbelievable.

I hope Hill is sitting on a Juggs machine all off season long catch every pass with his hands and running routes with QBs that can just throw plan and simple touch passes. The keep to catching the ball is concentration rather than the velocity, he needs to focus on the ball and nothing else . Do some distraction drills and him catch passes. To be the best you have to train when nobodys around to give you that pat on the back
