Francesa was saying yesterday that Ron Rivera would eventually be interviewed. Read more about that and other coaching news on www.jetsdaily.com.
not being critical of your post but here you stated Bryan would be similar to Mike, the mentality is totally different, Mike is a hall of fame LB because his attitude as a player, skill, team first, defense first, pound the ball, accountability, point's the finger at himself not everyone else, is the opposite of BC he was selfish and average and his words don't carry the weight MS do. I agree with you that many great players do not go on to have great coaching careers, but I feel that's because many do not identify who they are with their profession, they can go on in life without football. sorry for taking your post out of context...I guess I should have said MS definite HC material, BC I'll take the fine.
They should interview the QB coach for BUffalo....I forget hsi name, but he won acouple Grey Cups in the CFL....Danny Barrett I think,
Not looking at him for the HC position, just thought it would be entertaining. I feel, for the most part, that the "good ol' boys" network has more or less been broken up. Owners now want to win and make money doing it. Tony Dungy was able to break the stereotype by winning the Super Bowl. Mainly, if you have coaching talent, especially with the "win now" mentality, you will be interviewed for a HC job regardles of your ethnicity.
