What about Mike Nolan?

    Sure its a business but you still have some respect for family ties and it would give the 49ers organization a bad rep around the league to fire Nolan the same year as his father had passed away who was an inspirational figure in the NFL. It would look pretty bad in coaches eyes about the treatment the SF FO gives if you were to take upon the job.

    I think that my order for DC's this offseason would be this,

    Rex Ryan
    Mike Nolan
    Rob Ryan




    Bob Sutton

    My favorite candidate is Rex Ryan. Mike Nolan, who appears to be staying in San Fran at this point is my second favorite guy. Rob Ryan, is my 3rd favorite candidate, I think he has potential, but he isnt the best man for the job. And of course I tossed Sutton on the bottom of the list, because he needs to go, but obviously if he has to stay then he has to stay.
