Wes Welker lands a two-year, $12 million deal from the Broncos. Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Wes Welker. Have fun, Peyton.

Wow that is one nice deal

Agreed to terms on a 2-yr deal with Wes Welker. Excited to have Wes join the Broncos. His production & toughness will be a great asset!

Watch Julian Edelman nab 100+ passes next year.

Well, Napoleon finally left the Patriots.

Brady's security blanket is gone...very interesting that he restructured his deal. You would have thought it was with Welker in mind. Me thinks there's going to be some drama in Foxborough soon.

If the pass was on the money it wouldn't have been dropped.

More importantly who is going to catch 6-10 passes in Pats big games?

Does this mean they go full on for Greg Jennings? Cause if so, that would be a bigger coup

Edelman isn't half the player Welker is. Welker is the best Slot receiver to ever play. This is a big loss for the Pats and Brady. Welker was an incredible mismatch and worked extremely well in the Patriots' short passing attack.

catchable balls for a guy that is suppsoed to be a top WR.

They will be just fine unfortunately, their 2 best receivers are still on the team.

It would have been a miracle catch for anyone. You're an athlete, you should know that is extremely difficult. He had the same pass during the regular season and the same thing happened.

Losing Welker is a huge disadvantage. Their two best receivers are both now injury prone and are starting to lose their effectiveness, especially without Welker who commands so much attention underneath.

I think miracle is overstating it, it wasn't routine but it was a very catchable ball.

They will be fine w/o Welker, I fear they could get Amendola. That would be far worse than seeing Welker twice a year.

Catchable in that it would have taken a miracle to catch the pass. It wasn't catchable as in any where near routine or easy or even +50% of the time catchable.

Amendola doesn't scare me. Welker is MUCH better than Amendola.

They'll draft Eric Ward from Texas Tech.
