And... he's got a great attitude. I'm still puzzled by the pick, but after watching his presser today... he's really a smart, gifted kid, with his head on solid. I imagine a big reason they picked him, was they fell in love with him as a person, aside from his athleticism. All these athletes are primo-athletes. What makes greatness are the intangibles inside the person. MIV really seems to get it. Have a watch... .
reaching is relative and a moot point. teams who did trade up gave almost nothing(a 4th). and you need a willing partner. it wasn't a reach for JD it was his top player available. teams grade different based on scheme and coaching staff and traits. plus it's a premium position. it's good to draft without urgent needs. before we had big holes so JD had to pinpoint what he wanted and make moves for them, now he can play the board where it lies. What people aren't realizing is a big part of our draft is aaron rodgers. it's already a win landing him
I say this every year at draft time. If you like a guy there's literally no difference if you take him at #15 or #22. All these guys are graded differently by different organizations. "Ya know, we liked Justin Jefferson but we didn't like him at #15. Glad we passed. Dodged a major bullet there."
On some level I’m hoping that a sharp guy like Aaron Rodgers would never come to a team unless he was confident it wasn’t going to result in death. Seems like he’s taking the same Becton Leap of Faith as the front office. (sigh) What’s the stupid name for the third card in Texas Hold ‘Em? I mean, the one before the last one. Right before we push the last of our pile of plastic chip thingies into the middle of the table and file for divorce tomorrow.
Tomdeb, What you've just posted is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen posted on this forum. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Think he was drafted too high. But we will see. Hope it works out but I'll be surprised if it does. The only positive right now maybe Lawson will be cut. He was a waste of a signing.
He only got 7 sacks last year. Nice but not crazy. Plus he's a free agent after this year regardless. This was a pick setting us up for the future but as per usual, reactionary fans can't see beyond a single season. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk
I keep hearing we’re soft up the middle, that we’re lacking a true run stuffer. We’re about to pay Q Williams, am I nuts in thinking that a $100 million plus 300lb plus DT should be able to do that? Or that maybe our $55 million nearly 300lb DS/DR JFM should be able to do that?
I'm glad you will never stoop to personal and/or religious attacks. Real professional of you. I hope I can "get over" the fact that you awarded me no points. Feel free to respond again if you want. You can certainly have the last word.
Well, hopefully this works. Maybe it won’t matter, we should have more leads with Arod + running the ball isn’t the dominant form of offense in a pass happy league.
I shouldn’t be surprised that you’ve never seen Billy Madison. Lighten up Francis, it was a joke that clearly went over your head. However, I do wish to not continue this conversation with you any further. Have a great day!
