Draft Oline anything else we will fail. Our oline is still shit. Weak filled with holes, swiss cheese. We need to dominate the trenches for old man Rodgers and Breece.

Mike W cited AR as the main reason why they came here. Aside from the sandwich of course.

""I just felt like it was a great fit for me. Aaron, I want to be able to play with him, pick his brain, learn from him," he said Wednesday, explaining why he wanted to play for the Jets."

Gave GW love as well: "Playing alongside Garrett [Wilson], he kind of reminds me of Keenan [Allen] a little bit. Similar style play, great route runners, and I feel like we can complement each other in that area. The running game is pretty good. Defense is elite, so I just feel like we got a pretty good opportunity ahead of us."

Aaron still attracts players, which is a good thing. Smith mentioned him as well. Let's hope they work out better this year.

My "only" problem with this is the $$... He's not being paid to be a #3. I wonder if he'd agree to a pay cut??

With Smith not likely to play more than 12-13 games, and the fact that Smith and Moses are 1-year rentals, I think they have to take an OT in the 1st round. GB has consistently taken WRs in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and they've been very good or stars. 1st round WRs also bust a lot as do 1st round TEs.

I have to agree with the O-line line of thinking. I don't really care whether or not they stay at 10 or move back. The #1 pick better be O-Line. NONE of the people we have on that line instill any great deal of confidence. Whether it be their play or their health. Every spot has an "issue" and that MUST be dealt with in the draft.

yeah I swore posters felt no talent would come here with Hackett as a OC, or Kevin as the OL coach and yet here we are, still attracting players. Maybe it’s not as much of a dumpster fire as many thought. Oh and those leaks from Russini and that other reporter (forget his name), even their reps have taken a hit because that guy swore Williams and Smith was not an option here, with their “sources “ and yet here the Jets are, with those guys signed and playing for the green and white.

1- players still gonna want to play in the NFL, jobs are available and the Jets are a viable franchise.
2- offer money, they will come.
3- have good players to play around, they will come
4- coaching staff has a good rapport around the league, they will come.

    So yeah.

Of course not. Why would he, unless he is a complete idiot. This is not like Rodgers situation, where he made so much money before, he can give back to win another title. And even that was an incredible gesture. This was Lazard's first big contract. And it will be last. He'd better hold on to every guaranteed penny and invest it well.

But while money cannot be taken away, he can be moved down the playing chart like he was last year. Ideally to #5 where he belongs. Maybe #4 generously.

Got some solid options in that area no doubt…you guys still call it Taylor ham over there right? Cuz I know those degenerates start calling it “pork roll” when you get to Somerset county and south.

I do honestly prefer drafting a tackle there, this class is top heavy with tackles, but it depends who is available at 10. If top 2 tackles are gone, and a pass catcher falls, I think that is the move. I think one of top OTs/WRs/TE will fall, and Joe D will pick the BPA of those positions groups. It they are all gone, try to trade down and they can still get a decent prospect.

As I understand it the product is called pork roll, but the brand was "Taylor Ham" for so long that many people now refer to it as that. I've traditionally called it Taylor ham, but when I buy it in the super market it's usually still called pork roll in northern NJ.

The funny thing is that Dunkin Donuts are all over the place here, but none of them offer it.

That’s because DD is a Masshole based company.
Born and raised and Bergen County and been calling Taylor ham all my life(in my late 40’s now). When I moved to Bridgewater a few years back it threw me off a bit when I’d go to the local bagel shops and everyone looking at me funny when I ordered that way…they’re all like “you mean pork roll?” Lol.

Is "Taylor" just the name of the company, or is it processed in some different or special way?

Just the name of the company(there might be more than one making it now, but I really have no idea as I haven’t looked into). Otherwise, pork roll is the general name for it. The full name is Taylor pork roll as it’s not any more ham than bologna or spam.

PS apologies to Brook for hijacking the thread into a pork discussion during Ramadan ;)
