    Everybody needs to calm down. Mac drafts BPA first three rounds or so and then drafts based on need in later rounds. If that gives you a surplus at a position then you trade some of the older players for the new younger players. In this case you trade Pryor and cut Gilchrist. Pryor's play wasn''t great anyway. The Jets will have $75 million in cap room next year - that can fill a lot of holes.

    It doesnt say much about Mac that he is drafting guys to replace the guys he just signed a year or two ago. I get he inherited pryor but he signed gilchrist. i dont hate the adams pick but did we really need to go safety in the first and second rounds?

    I get why some people wanted Cook, I wanted Cook. But he was off some team's draft boards and you have to believe the Jets research this stuff. Maye is a very good player, what the Jets can't use very good players?

    maybe in round 3, since we have two picks we can pick another DE and perhaps a LB.

    There was an absolute run on db's in that second round. Like half the picks were CB or S.

    Yea because it paid big with our constant drafting of D Linemen,I don't mind drafting safteys ...we got torched last season

    That's the big thing. They must've viewed the discreptency in talent between Maye and available offensive players as a pretty large gap.

    I don't know much about the kid, but I know they had one of the best secondaries and defense in all of college football. They play a lot of press man so it seems like he's adept at playing over the top.

    I love both picks as much as Bowles does. Only difference is I will be around to get to enjoy Adams and Maye for the next 5+ years!

    Only the Jets can hire a GM that can't multi task. Next year we draft all cornerbacks. Once again no offense.

    We can say that anybody....if they can play. Doesn't matter whether it's O, D, or ST. That remains to be seen.
