So does every armchair QB in the history of ever. The one time that someone makes the right call, they beat their chests. Never do I see someone come out and say that they miss 99 out of 100 times. I trust our front office, HC and OC. I don't trust neckbeard armchair QB's.
Times like this make me not want to be a Jets fan. Not because of the Hackenberg pick but because of the "fan" reaction. It's the same arrogant bullshit that we saw when Porzingis was taken and the same shit that made Fireman Ed quit. And before some assholes call me a Hackenberg homer, I'm not. Could drafting this HACK be the ultimate leverage play, taking him in the 2nd round, talking him up just to put pressure on Fitz and his agent lowering their demands? The fans who act as if NFL GMS are perfect and are infallable are silly. It doesn't take a genius to watch Hackenberg and see he's a 6th round QB The NFL's archaic view of evaluating QBS is one of the reasons why they consistenly miss. So while I do not know more the game of football than any Jets scout or the GM, I am informed enough to know that Hackenberg was?is a bad pick. I'll be rooting for him, but anyone who defends this pick is being a homer.
