So it was a 2nd round pick. It isn't like the Jets have never missed on a 2nd round pick before. If Mac missed on this one, it's just one more in a long list of missed picks. If he hit on this pick, he'll look a genius and the Jets could be set for the next 10-12 years with a topflight QB.

I'm not saying I wanted Lynch, I'd rather have gotten someone in here (maybe even trade for Glennon or Kap) and given Petty another year to learn. I hate the idea of having 2 QB projects and Geno on the roster. You are basically conceding 2016 and throwing all your eggs in the 2017 basket. It's a terrible strategy but it's a hell of a gamble because if they suck next year and in 2017 neither of these guys pan out Mac is in all likelihood sitting on a seat that is on fire in 2018.

I hope to God I am wrong on this guy because every year that goes by brings me closer to death without seeing the Jets even make the SB let alone win it while the assholes in Boston own the division and just reload year in and year out.
