Maybe I'm a crabby old smack but I find myself identifying more with the group of people bashing the pick who so-called "haven't seen him play" vs. the group that never said a word about him in the months leading up to the draft that are championing the pick as if they loved the player all along

And the other half have seen his two minute "highlights" (of him not wrapping up on tackles) clip on YouTube; it's not like his board defenders are all former Louisville coaches.

I can't attest to what you thought, but the notion that other people ("experts" for what it's worth) felt it was unlikely that Pryor would be available at 18 is ludicrous. This is the internet; old mock drafts are all still available on the web. Pryor wasn't even considered a third rounder prior to the Bowl games being over and hardly any of the post-bowls mock drafts had him selected before our pick at 18.

I never said in the eyes of "draft experts".

I was referring to myself. Especially when corner went early, I thought for sure safeties and corners would start coming off the board

Amen to every word of that brotha. Especially the word "fear."

Every pass catcher on that list - including Gronk - is now gonna have to think twice about coming across the middle after Pryor lays them out (except for Amendola...I don't think he ever recovers from the first hit). I've been watching this team for 20+ years now and I don't think we've ever had someone who brought the wrath of God down on a wideout like this kid has the potential to.

I just hope Rex throws in a safety blitz or two early on to put the murderer's row of QB's we're facing this year on notice. Brady wants none of that shit, trust me.

Happy with the pick. In my mind, I would have went with Ha-Ha, or maybe Denard, but as fans we never get to meet the players. I have the feeling Pryor really impressed them and I like the fact that Idzik and Rex seem very happy to have him. The only thing better would have been had they been able to trade down and still get him. So, it wasn't a pick that had me high-fiving people, (similar to Sheldon last year) but it seems to be a very solid choice, one that should be "can't-miss"

Yes, we need help on offense. We have 11 more picks. This team has an identity, and Pryor fits.

With all due respect, there is no comparison between the two. Calling them both the same because they are both slot receivers (Cooks actually predominantly played flanker in college) makes about as much sense as calling them the same or "clones" of one another because they both wear helmets, pads and cleats. Cooks can run a 4.31 40 all day long whereas Kerley is lucky to break 4.6. One was a 1st round pick and named the 2013 Biletnikoff Award winner for being the nation's TOP wide receiver while the other......

If by identity you mean a team with a terrible offense year in and year out - then yes, drafting Pryor fits with that identity.

So after one season, Geno sucks? Sorry, but for better or worse, we committed to Geno for at least a couple of seasons (and after signing Vick, we weren't going QB in the 1st round). At least give him a shot with better offensive weapons. Did you honestly expect Geno to succeed last season with that supporting cast on offense? Pretty much any QB would have failed in that situation.

Everyone's highlight are beast mode. But look a little deeper when he laid out that kid by the sidelines. a few days later Bortles beat him in the end zone with a pass.

Nobody said he was perfect but there's no denying the kid is a beast and will instill that fear in receivers the way Landry did for us the short time he was here.
    I love this kid

Some folks are just downright nasty, I did say he only got 8 out of 32 right in the first round...But credit where credit is due, his was the only mock that I saw that had the Jets taking Pryor AND the Dolphins reaching for Juwan.

I get you don't like the site, that's fine. But man the nastitude you show is like way out of bounds dude. Chill.

True, but it was also his last mock before the draft.

I get you guys don't like walter football, it's a fan site run by a fan. But some of you guys with your hatred are just looney tunes man, he's a fan of the game...
