I think a second half Giants collapse is about to happen, it's a tradition for their classy franchise.
Dallas could if they stop being so sloppy but I think that is asking too much. In addition to Martin another Buc was great for me today. David was in on 16 tackles (14 solo). He was my pick for defensive rookie of the year. I suppose he is a candidate for it at this point.
Ugly stat line for Eli today: 10/24 125 5.2 0 1 2-11 41.1 Giants are going to go a mid seaoson slide, end up 10-6 or 9-7 and then have "nobody believes in us" and play well in the playoffs
I will agree with that except for the last part. I do not like the secondary. The Giants will struggle to beat a good passing attack in the playoffs.
I thought that last year and that burnt me so I'm hesitant to say that. That pass rush if it steps up can hide the secondary well enough. IT will be interesting to see
yeah I mean they have talent but if you consider the history of the Jones/Garrett/Romo Cowboys, that's what I mean by hard to imagine.
oh, I was reading MMQB recently, and Peter King didn't even have Denver in his top 10. If you're ranking the teams based on their records, don't even bother. If you're ranking them based on play, Denver has clearly been a top 10 team, and maybe even top 5.
ATL, GB, HOU, NYG, SF, NE, PITT, BAL are teams in no order I could see an argument for as playing better than DEN. I don't see who else he could sneak in to knock DEN out
Baltimore can't be ranked ahead of Denver after the way they were blown out by Houston, IMO. The only ones I'd rank ahead (before this week): Houston, San Francisco, Giants He had Miami, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore all ahead of the Broncos, which is outrageous. Miami and Pittsburgh had the same records as Denver, and it's impossible to say they've played better. Just look at the games! Denver beat Pitt to open the season. Pitt has two bad losses, to the Titans and Raiders.
Collinsworth suggested the Atlanta receivers are better blockers than receivers, which is wrong, IMO.
