Our "elite" defense hasn't stopped any good offenses. The only reason they're #2 is because they beat up on the Browns, Dolphins, Redskins, and a hobbled Colts team. They're still Rex's stuck-in-1985 defense designed to stop runs in a pass heavy league. They have no edge rusher; Pace is old and slow, and Coples is too big and heavy to be a true 3-4 OLB. David Harris is good, but the rest of the LB corps is average. Their secondary other than Revis is middle of the road at best as well. Until they can get guys who can pressure the QB without sending the entire 52 man team in on a blitz, they're going to be nothing but a slightly-above-average defense.
Thats great man congrats on your optimism. I would take and undrafted rookie who bags grocerys.. Unfortunately we dont have that we have geno smith and we already know what hes is. And i hate to break this to you but even when kurt warner was bagging groceries he was a future hall of famer. Kurt warner is today and he was since the day he was born a future hall of famer cause he will one day be in the hall of fame.
Is this the guy who got punched out by a teammate this summer. I think he'll get a little respect for this performance. Too bad the defense has jet lag.
We're not really back in this game. And our D has shown no indication of being able to stop Carr. But maybe we have a chance to win next week against the Jags.
2 scores down and 9:00 left is back in the game. Doesn't matter how bad our D has looked so far, the point is there's enough time for us to come back.
We got a big break, now we need to take advantage of it! J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!! We got the Raiders scared now!
