Tough, hard fought game. I'm upset the Jets lost, but it was just a few plays that were the difference. Cant have Brady pass for over 300 and 2TD's and expect to win. Fitz and the offense did OK, the defense couldnt get off the field in the 2nd half. Seemed like when Pryor and Skrine left the game the intensity level declined.

 

Brady has made a career on 3rd and 17s. That's why he's HOF. Just great execution on their part and bad execution by us.

 

Let Fitz heave it 2-3 times. Just don't throw a 7 yard pass to the middle of the field with 10 seconds left?

Can't agree. It's almost always better to take a timeout on defense. Not taking a timeout the first play after the 2:00 minute warning was really bad.

 

One thing that is a bit concerning is the contribution of the Jets rookies so far. Other than Williams.

Devin Smith hasnt gotten the separation promised. DB's are step for step with him and he doesnt seem to have the capability to fight off the DB. 1 catch today for sub 10 yards.
Mauldin has been a non-factor. No pass rush yet. I thought he would have had a sack by now..

I think they were concerned that if they took a time out and that NEP then made an easy 1st down they might not be able to stop the clock.

He's a little raw and missing TC certainly didn't help. He's just not a good fit/on the same page with Fitzpatrick . Not too worried about Mauldin. It takes time for edge rushers to produce and remember Pryor was terrible last sesson.
