I remember one play, a few seasons back, which summed it up. Only time I've ever seen Brady do this. Brady acted as though he was going to slide but then kept on going. The LBs (Ravens I believe) actually stopped during the play allowing Brady quite a bit more yardage. They were expecting him to stop and he didn't. For the rest of the game, you did see the LBs tee up on Brady quite a bit more though (without the refs calling it) so Brady did pay for the stunt.
the problem is that the Pats will get theirs on offense and our offense isn't capable of matching them point for point.
Yeah good point. I think last year he slid against the Redskins and someone hit him before the slide should to chest. But the way he bounced it looked bad. Flag and on every replay it was 100% clean hit. But you don't see Brady taking big hits often. It had to be illegal since he doesn't get hit big time.
It is sickening to watch Woodhead run. Particularly with our own RB problems. I'm not saying that Woodhead is the RB solution, but with the way teams utilize a RB committee, the PATS sure got $$ worth with him, - more than we did with his replacement Joe McKnight.
Not a popualr opinion, but if we cut McKnight I think the Pats would have scooped him and we would see the same thing
the threat of the pass opens up those opportunities in the run game. but still how do you give up a first down on a 3 and 17?
He looked like he jumped but it's amazing to me how they are allowed to pick whenever they want... There was also a play earlier where the Pats LB was already across the LOS and nothing was called. Just like the GIANTS getting some serious home cookin today. How is a player unabaited to the punter when he got back to the LOS before the snap? That was one of the biggest BS calls.
I heard that in 2007 also. Also heard it about the Packers last year. If the defense can hold up their end consistently, this could be their return to the top
