Yeah, this series is among the most intense and hard-hitting in the sport these days. Titans-Chargers and Jaguars-Steelers are two other ones. The Steelers play at Jacksonville next week. Unfortunately, there is no Titans-Chargers game this regular season.
Cakes I know you saw that game. You can not judge a coach on one game especially his first. That being said, I have only seen one game where a team went in and executed a worse game plan. I mean for shitty game plans Zorns week 1 was a freaking masterpiece. Ont he Shit-O-Meter his game plan rated a 15 on a scale of 1-10. That was absolutely a terribly coached game. Maybe it was nerves or the the need to be conservative, whatever, it was flat out awful. Obviously, he has learned and that team has responded to him so far. Kudo's to Zorn. The first year for a coach really means nothing, unless they are unusually bad. Anyway, he has shown that he can improve and get a team to respond so far. BTW the only gameplan I have ever seen worse then the Redskins on week 1 was the KC/Indy playoff game in 07'. It took a lot of work but Herm Edwards came up with the most incompetent game plan I have ever witnessed in my entire life. God willing there are no weapons around if I ever see a worse coached game.
Yeah, that's what I was saying that night. There were people in that thread who had decided that night that Zorn was garbage and the Redskins would be in for a horrendous season. I wrote that it was poppycock and that Zorn and the Redskins would be fine. Zorn and the QB were bad that night. There's no doubt. I just didn't see it as alarming is all and I wrote as much in that thread.
Cool man not jumping you or anything.............never saw that thread. Figured you meant something like the above. Just wanted you to know that I thought Zorn was horrible that game but obviously improved a 1000 fold............It was hard to fathom how bad they looked that game.
I didn't think you were jumping me at all. Yeah, the performance that night was disgusting. I thought many things were working against Zorn and his team that night (I won't rehash them here), but that they'd be fine in the coming weeks. Zorn played a key role in the development of Charlie Batch and Matt Hasselbeck and I think he does have a good offensive mind. Plus, he's always been known as a classy guy and you'd figure a team would love to play for such a guy.
Nah but I have replied to a couple of your posts.............lol you don't need another stalker. Tonights game is one hell of a game. Hard fought, this is the kind of game the Jets need to win. Don't know if they are yet capable.
The Reed game-winning FG gave my fantasy league opponent 6 points. That makes our final score 124.42 to 124.02. If there are no stat adjustments tomorrow, I'll win. The other guy is a Steelers fan and if the score holds up, he'll lose because I had LaMarr Woodley who scored 30.5 points (the league has crazy IDP stats).
