People thought I was crazy when I was glad we didn't get him... What does a rocket arm get you in the NFL?
I've never seen a QB do this, but why does Hoyer always tap/pat the football before every throw? It's weird to see...
Actually, patting the ball was a little more common back in the day...they try and get players to stop doing it now.. For some, It helps their grip
What's the reasoning why old school QB's would pat the ball and/or why wouldn't they want QB's doing it anymore? I don't know I just can't remember/pinpoint me seeing QB's do it before..
They want both hands on the ball to limit the QB from having only one hand on the ball... I think they just spoke about this on ESPN
Rodgers is, in my opinion, the best deep ball thrower in NFL history. His ball placement is legendary, at any depth, but despite being a better athlete than Montana, Manning, Marino, and Brady, he isn't the tactician that they are. He absolutely has a great QB mind, but nobody is better than Manning, Brady, and Marino when it comes to who to throw it to. Rodgers, to me, is like a top 6 all time QB already and he's only played since 2008 while Brady and Manning have been around 8-10 years longer. He's amazing. But he will never be #1. In 2016 tho he's probably the best option if there was a brand new franchise need a QB for the next 5-7 years.
I think systems have a part of that. Packers offense isn't built around super efficiency, they are trying to be explosive. The Patriots on the other hand rely on short, low risk passes that result in more completions and more rewards over time. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Sam Bradford's performance was probably the most surprising to me. with a couple weeks notice, coming out and playing like that to beat Green Bay in Minnesota's stadium opener? Vikings fans have got to be stoked. I've always liked the NFC North, especially the Vikings, so I'll be pulling for them.. How many people had completely written Bradford off? i did... Couple other narrative buckers this week... Over 30 RB's fall off a cliff: Guess no one told Matt Forte that. was the most effective RB of the week. glad he's on our side. Jeff Fisher shouldn't have a job: Without permanent facilities in place, no QB, and virtually no talent, comes out and beats the Seahawks yet again. the team is destined to have a terrible season, but if there was a game I'd want as a Rams fan, it was this opener against Seattle. well done.
A sub 500 coach career coach. Youre exactly right......and rumor is theres an extension done too. Hes like the anti-bill beli. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
In his last 3+ seasons Bradford has 56 TDs and 31 INTs, completing 62.1% of his passes and averaging about 250 passing yards per game. His biggest problem has always been staying on the field, not the quality of his play. He's no superstar, but when he plays he's above average.
