both networks with week 17 doubleheader so we get minnesota/packers as well which of course is now meaningless for the giants
AD off to a start suggesting Dickerson is not out of reach after all, and Peyton leads Broncos to a TD on their first drive. Two amazing stories.
Aikman is not too bright - the decision to go for it on 4th and 1 from midfield when you have Peterson in your backfield was obviously the correct decision, and of course they made it easily.
 4th and 1 at the GB 44, and Aikman arguing that Frazier should send the punt team out. Frazier correctly went for it, and AD got the first. It's a pretty obvious go for it situation, especially with AD vs. GB.
At least Simms wasn't as dumb as Aikman and knew that the Pats were right to go for it on 4th and goal from the 1. Unfortunately they got the TD.
The game has changed since they played. What was the thought process in their day is not the same now. Simms I guess is quicker on the uptake.
funny thing about that is, I wouldn't have been so annoyed had Aikman argued against going for it on 4th and goal from the 1. It's obviously the correct decision to go for it, but ok, he's being conservative and taking 3 points rather than over a 50% chance at 7. But from the opposing 44, 4th and 1? That's lthe textbook go for it scenario. Too long for a field goal and you should not punt on the other side of the field if it's at all avoidable (like if you have 4th and 5 or less). Plus, your percentages of converting on a 4th and 1 from the other 44 are considerably higher than converting on 4th and goal from the 1.
