Rich Eisen: Jets have lost alot of non-conference games, San Francisco off the top of my head. Yeah Rich, Thats it. Cardinals and Rams easy wins, Seahawks will be too. Lots of non-conference losses. The reason the Jets have the edge in the division is division record. 4-1 vs. 3-2.
man, what a crazy game. I watched the whole thing, only missed a few plays. Watched a good part of Arizona-BYU as well, where the officials were atrocious. A lot to talk about after this one.
I would much rather face NE. Baltimore is a much better team than the Cheatriots. What this does, though, is almost eliminate the wild card for us. We HAVE to win the last two. The Cheats will probably win both to be 11-5. If we lose to Seattle and beat Miami, we'll be out of the playoffs, even though we'd be ahead of Miami.
by the way, you can't expect players to have the brains or the selflessness to do this, but McClain should not have scored on that long run. A smart player takes a knee inside the 10 so the Ravens can run clock. That's what Westbrook did last year. Horrific tackling by Dallas on that play to let him break through. Three different guys should've had him near the line of scrimmage, and then another guy had him but got stiff-armed to the ground.
Dolphins-Chiefs and Cardinals-Patriots is what I'll watch at 1 today. I don't know that I need to bother with Steelers-Titans because I think either one could win in the other one's stadium should they meet in the AFC title game. The Titans could lose today and then go to Pittsburgh in January and win with Haynesworth and Vanden Bosch back in the lineup.
http://the506.com/nflmaps/index.html We get Arizona-Cheatriots early (was hoping for games on both networks. oh well) and Philly-Washington along with Jets-Seattle late. I wish Philly-Washington was early. If the Cheats game was later, Arizona might have a better chance, and that's also not likely going to be competitive. Philly-Washington and Jets-Seattle are the better games and going up against each other. Would've been nice if the NFL had allowed CBS to broadcast at 1 PM in NY so we could see Miami-KC or even Pittsburgh-Tennessee.
I was rootin for the Ravens all night because a win for them meant they would keep the Fish and the Patsies OUT of the WC. Then, halfway thru the game I thought, if the Ravens could keep a Romo, TO, Williams, Witten, Choice, and Barber team to 7 points at the half...then what chance do the Jets have to beat this team? So I've accepted a 'playoff berth for the Jets, meanwhile NE gets to sit at home and watch' as a measuring stick for this season. Let's hope we win tomorrow. Go Jets!
At 9am ET it was 0 degrees in Kansas City. By the start of the game, a minus 20 degree wind chill is expected.
Baltimore over Jacksonville should be easy. Not the other two. Frank Gore is out, btw, in a meaningless NFC West game.
hard to explain, but I'm going to the Giants game tonight. Doesn't look like I'll have a ride back to Queens, though. A friend of mine is going, but he's going with his dad and his dad likes to ditch early, even in close games.
Pats-Zona will be playing in a blizzard most likely. Unless the snow stops any minute, which isn't likely. Just had to shovel shitloads of snow and it's still going hard here
I wish the Jets could just win in Seattle, and bring on Miami. They are going to be so high on themselves coming to NY. Then, on the first play, the Jets need to hit them in the mouth, it will be all Jets from then on.
