These are good games. I don't get why all these Jets fans keep talking about the playoffs, yet each week complain with worry against teams like the Redskins, Chiefs, Eagles and Giants. Are the Eagles and Giants good? Yes. Tough challenges? Yes. You don't just want the Jets to get into the playoffs easy though. Lets get some good wins under our belts. The Jets have not even beat a top team this year. Not saying the Eagles or Giants are top teams, but they are good challenges.

The Jets struggle with 2 things that worry me with this game. Running QBs and RBs that make people miss and not just plow up the middle. Im more worried about Lesean Mccoy looking like Darren McFadden then Michael Vick doing anything this game.

Its going to be a battle of run games. The eagles can be run on so if we control the clock on offense better then the Eagles we can win this game. On defense contain Lesean from having any big gains and try to pressure Vick into mistakes.

I want to see a lot and lot of Shonne Greene this weekend. The offensive line, especially, Wayne Hunter, is going to have their hands full with that defensive front. They (the offensive line) has been playing well the last three weeks so hopefully they can keep that up.

I have watched every Eagles game this year (being that I go to school in this shit state of PA) and their offense really excels and plays at a high level when McCoy is getting the ball and getting his touches. We should definitely be able to stop their passing game, but hopefully we don't let Vick kill us with his legs on 3rd downs.

Jets win this and move onto a 4-game win streak with a score of:
    Jets - 27
    Eagles - 20

The 2nd quote answers the first.

Its like playing against 2 DMF's in Oak.

Fast RB, fast QB. Jets weakness is setting the edge against fast RBs and they basically have 2. I'm less worried about the Giants O cause we have the corners to slow them down. The Giants front 4 scare me and what they can do to MS under pressure.

But the fEagles have the type of offense that can rape our D, especially considering how slow our LB core is.

Maybin is not the answer but could be helpful.

The eagles are dangerous right now. Got Vick back, and they actually still have a chance at a playoff birth thanks to the Cowboys latest fuck up.

This game scares the hell out of me. If I remember correctly, the Jets have never beaten the Eagles before. The Eagles are not a good team, but something about playing Mike Vick that always scares me.

Exactly, stop Mccoy we basically stop the Eagles. I say make Vick run and beat us, thats what other teams who beat them do. They take away their recievers and make Vick beat em. Jackson isnt their best reciever, Maclin is, so defend him and we will win going away.

Knock down Vick, you win. Eagles defense can't stop a nosebleed. Sanchez gets protection, we score. Jets 31 Eagles 17

How are Maybin's hands? Can we send him out there not only to go after Vick, but to spy him also?

I dont like the idea of using Maybin to spy Vick. First year in the system and doesn't really do much more then pass rush. It might be asking a lot of him and I'd rather see him try and get after Vick then just containing him. If anyone should spy I'd use Strickland or Pool.

I don't think the Jets have ever beaten the Eagles either (0-8) - I think its the only team which the Jets have never beaten. which simply means we are due to win. We are gonna end that losing streak on Sunday.

Theres no such thing as due to win. When we were 0-7 were we due to win? If we win it means we are the better team.

McCoy is coming off one of the worst games I've ever seen. Even assuming he's healthy and plays well against the Jets the Eagles offense is still not very good. Let Vick sit back in the pocket and be the bad QB he's been his entire career outside of a few game stretch last season. As long as they don't have major breakdowns like the 80 yard TD vs Oak the defense will be fine scoreboard wise even if McCoy piles up some yardage.

Though I don't know if I have the same mindset -- I agree.

If we can't beat either the Eagles or the Giants...do we really deserve to be in the playoffs..? Or how will we fare against NE none the less.
