Didn't want to start a new thread, figured this was in the same general topic, if not MODS can move.... Looks like the Bucs are banged up pretty good without their leading rusher "Cadallac" which should improve our chances for a W, even further.... http://www2.tbo.com/content/2009/dec/11/bucs-rb-cadillac-williams-doubtful-back-injury/sports-bucs/ TAMPA - Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Cadillac Williams is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Jets because of a back injury. Williams, who was not on Tampa Bay's injury report prior to Friday, sustained a back injury on Thursday, according to coach Raheem Morris. Williams is the team's leading rusher with 572 yards and three touchdowns on 144 carries. Running back Derrick Ward could see increased playing time, along with Earnest Graham and backup running back Kareem Huggins, who was promoted from Tampa Bay's practice squad earlier this week. "We'll see," Morris said. "We'll have Earnest Graham playing fullback and tailback like he always does, but we also got (fullback Chris) Pressley, who is a little more involved in the offense and knows more of the plays. We'll have to see." Ward has rushed for 304 yards and one touchdown. Receiver Sammie Stroughter also sustained a back injury on Thursday, according to Morris, and is listed as questionable. Stroughter has 27 receptions for 288 yards and one touchdown this season and was limited during Friday's practice. If Stroughter is unable to play, Huggins or receiver Yamon Figurs would take over the return duties. Tampa Bay placed Pro Bowl returner Clifton Smith on injured reserve earlier this week after he sustained his second concussion of the season. Stroughter likes his chances of playing. "Better than 50-50," Stroughter said. "There is quite some time before the game. Obviously, I'm preparing myself to play." Others on the injury report: Receiver Michael Clayton (knee), cornerback Derrick Roberson (groin) and defensive lineman Michael Bennett (toe) are doubtful; linebacker Geno Hayes (hamstring) is questionable and tight end Kellen Winslow (knee) probable.
Run, run, and run. Hopefully the defense and special teams can get us ahead early. This game has all the makings of a "same old Jets" game. God I hope not.
