It's kind of hard to describe. It consists of two pieces supplied by the carmaker. The lower piece has a wide base and hollow shaft with holes every inch or so. The top piece has a metal ring that attaches to a bolt on the chassis and a similar shaft that fits into the lower shaft. You attach the upper shaft to the chassis, and let it hang down. Then slide the lower shaft over the upper shaft and position it so it's directly under the upper piece with the base firmly on the ground. With a supplied metal bar you slip it through one of the common holes in both metal shafts, upper and lower, so that it's firmly planted on the ground and can't shift up or down. It's pretty easy to do and there's no cranking as with a jack. The car does all the lifting when you change the suspension. Check it out:
