Please what? How many teams have given up on a 2nd rd pick QB? This has nothing to do with if I like Geno or not. If he can't become the QB we need he needs to go and I'll be the first to say. I'm all about wins. I don't give a shit about nothing else. Did Geno his first 2 years look good no he didn't but he has showed flashes.

I think the record does not matter much. If fitz is posting 21 or so a game he will stay. If he isn't, they are going to finish their due diligence on geno.
the locker room will handle itself. If geno can play there will not be any problems, if he can't ,he won't be in there long enough to cause a problem.

Be honest. If was all about wins U wouldn't be so quick to defend Geno. Show me a post where U tear him a new one for some of the terrible mistakes he's made on and off the field. If U do I will post my sincere apologies.

Who leaked out to the press that geNO will be back sooner, his agent? Let's revisit this on Monday, by then we will know. If he's out closer to 10 weeks the new #2 will already be here, if its 6 weeks or less they go with this group the next two weeks and re-evaluate after pre-season week 3. Screws and plates put in are in for a min of 4 weeks. After that a week or 2 min is needed for the bone re-growth to stablize (aka geNO's re-introduction to non-contact practice). I'd be shocked to see him before week 3.

Oh that's a fair assumption. Anytime there is violence involved, the instigator is the one who threw the punch.

You're missing the point. It's not about who was right and who was wrong. It's about Geno displaying his immaturity that this event even snowballed to this point. Would you feel comfortable if this just happened to the lead presenter on an important presentation you and your team just worked on to pitch to a company for millions? Why would you want your football team which reels in millions to be lead by a clown like this?

I'm a lot more forgiving of other NFL positions than I am at the quarterback position for nonsense. It's the same reason for why everyone who dismisses Kaepernick and RGIII's instagram battles with fans is wrong. Quarterbacks have too much to worry about on the field than to get mixed up in bullshit off the field.

You can be a Geno apologist all you want, but the fact that this happened over the equivalent of $20 to you or me is pathetic and embarassing for the franchise. If this happened with Mo Wilkerson, Geno would've probably been cut, and you have to think Maccagnan thought about it regardless.

Maccagnan may still be thinking about it but will do it, if he does, when it is most advantageous to the Jets which probably isn't now. It seemed pretty obvious Bowles was equally pissed at both of them.

2nd round QB success rate is absolute shit. Plenty of QBs drafted in the 2nd round have been taken out of the starting job after 1 or 2 seasons. Clemens, Clausen Kevin Kolb - just examples.

Here's my hang up with Geno...... When he came out, there where serious questions about his maturity level...... This last incident tells me he still has major maturity questions...... All Geno had to do was pay IK and we are probably singing a different tune..... But Geno thought it was wise to put his finger in the face of IK and actually say something to the effect of what are you going to do about it? That all leads me to this conclusion: Geno is an asshole who pushed the wrong guys button...... He's also not someone I want to be in a leadership role with my favorite football team.....

I haven't "tore him a new one yet" because I understand it takes time. Has he done dumb shit on the field and off? Hell yes but we all was young and dumb. Like I said this was his last year for me. Why tear him a new one when all he doing is making young QB mistakes? Now off the field to say the man not leader because he got into a fight with a teammate is just dumb IMO. I would bet if his jaw doesn't get broken we may never have heard about this. Look at Big Ben not saying Geno is and will be as good. Look at the dumb shit he did when he was young. You had teammates calling him selfish and he would never be a leader. Look how he turned out. Once again not saying Geno is near as good as Big Ben but just pointing out people can mature.

Ben went (15-1) his rookie season then won the Super Bowl his 2nd year. Cool story bro!

You are 100% correct. It is unfortunate, but true.

Here is what might be going on, pure speculation of course, the Jets plan on putting smith on IR so they can get some of their money back. This is why he wasn't cut immediately. Smith's camp is aware of this and that is why they didn't do what the jets thought they would do and have his jaw wired and instead and the plates and screws installed which should mean a quicker recovery. His camp then leaked he would be back for week 1...the next move is up to the Jets.

Our OL might be good. Carpenter is a pricey FA so of course everyone talks him up in camp. Breno and colon were both bad last year, so assuming the right side of the line won't be a disaster is risky. Maybe our oline will come together, but league average I'd guess is where they'll top out.

Fitzpatrick hasn't been recovering from a broken leg since 2010 in Buffalo, his arm strength has always been an issue. watch some of Fitzpatrick's games from Buffalo or Houston.

Your missing the point. No point in trying with some of you. Plus the Steelers won that SB because of the D. Ben had the worst QB rating in the history of the SB winner in that game.

Your point is to keep giving Geno chances. A normal person's point is he has had enough. He was given a golden opportunity this year and he messed up in the locker room on Tuesday. No one is crediting him 100% with getting his jaw broken, but I am saying there are many ways a mature QB would have avoided it. Heck, even a dumb QB can avoid that. Nothing he did in 2013 or 2014 should even give him a roster spot, let alone a starting opportunity. Me posting those Ben stats showed he was winning. Geno was awful. Do you see what I am saying? I need to see some sort of production, or something to give me confidence. Geno offers 0.

How does placing him on i.r. get some of his money back?
