I didn't like playing the Dolphins Week 1 BEFORE they got Chad, I thought any other week of the season we'd blow them out but they would have a chance for an upset opening week. And now the game got much more difficult to win.

    For real

This questioning of Jets fan loyalties should be a bannable offense. This guy isn't the first guy to do it either.

    I agree.

In TC, our DEF has been either rushing Chad and forcing incompletions or complete checkdowns or flat-out Intercepting him. There were working Clemens even worse.

But this was all in Camp and being kind to the Red-Shirted One. When real hitting starts and we know from experience how to close in the box on him and then the blitzes start and Harris and Barton and Rhodes start doing their thing... well... "Checkdown Chad" is in a world of hurt.

    Jets - 27
    Dolphins - 17

No, I don't see how Stinkin Fins get a shot for anything.

Chad has a long history of handing the Dolphins losses. I expect it to continue.

The guys on here (like me) that believe Chad has something still in him understand what can happen in this game....it's the perfect storm and I as a Jets fan do not like it.

I have heard on here over the past couple years that Chad's sucked because he never got us to the Super Bowl - If we do not get to the Super Bowl with Farve as our QB this season, should we bench him? Trade him? Does that mean Farve sucks too??

I have not been on in a while....what are all the KC backers saying about their boy riding the pine for another year or two?? I thought KC was the second coming of Joe Namath.....

What are you trying to get at in this post?

You fear a QB with a team around him comparable to the 07 Jets. Who got them 1 win, and it sure as hell ain't going to be against his former team. I like how fans are afraid of this vastly shitty team now that they have a game manager behind center. Pennington helps them, but doesn't make them a threat larger than the Jets.

With Favre, the Jets have the QB who can make something out of nothing and win games from behind or in the 4th quarter. The defense will have to prove that they can keep teams from scoring to make it to the SB, as well as Favre and the receivers coming through.

No one ever said KC was Namath. I don't know why that was written...

I couldn't agree more! Anything could happen this season.. from only two wins to 14 or 15. Who knows, Pennington could have had an awesome season this year for the Jets.. given the offseason improvement, but I think what Favre provides is.. like he said 'leadership and durability.' He also adds the excitement and gives everyone a bit more hope for a Super Bowl. And like they say, a big part in winning is believing you can win and with favre, everyone seems to believe it a lot more

The Jets should kill the Dolphins. Favre will be well settled enough in the NYJ offense by week 1 of the regular season to lead the rebuilt Jets past Miami.

    Predicted score: 24-14 Jets win

    "It's not even a contest."

C'mon, give me a break. Are you referring to the standard IQ test? Or maybe the Wonderlic IQ test? Or are you referring to what sports writers think? Exactly what is your frame of reference here? Your own opinion?

    "It's not even a contest."

Does this mean that Favre is a dumbass?

All I know is that when it comes to playing football in the NFL, Favre has the credentials, Chad doesn't. So Favre doesn't look so dumb to me, and Pennington doesn't look that smart.

BTW, I googled "smartest NFL QB" and neither Chad nor Brett came up... If it's not a contest I think that's because neither guy is really seen as the 'smartest" QB in the NFL.

i dont see how so many people are defending chad, hes done and playing with the fins now. i wouldnt care if favres iq was 45. hes a hof qb with a ring, chad could be a rocket scientist, he wont be in the hof, he wont have a ring, ok hes the most accurate passer. brett makes big plays to win games, chad cant. fine have a beer with chad if you like him so much, but you should be a jets fan b4 a chad fan and be happy this happend because favre gives us more of a chance to win then chad did.

Have you watched the 2 play football? Then I don't need to answer the question. Obviously Brett has been the better QB but that's not b/c of football smarts.

As we know Favre has never thrown INTs to lose games:rofl:

This is about learning a new playbook anyway and Chad is a smarter player and smarter booksmart wise which will help him. Brett hasn't had to learn a new playbook in 16 years, Chad has been through multiple system changes and even learned a year under the dolphisn current OC. You don't think that gives him an advantage?

Of course the Dolphins have a chance at home. They win if Ricky is the best running back on the field which is very possible. He is a phenomenal talent and could have an enormous impact on this game.

Ricky going well gives Chad one or two opportunities to make big plays, how the D responds in those situations will go along way to deciding this game. If we bottle up the running game we blow them out.

If you take away the QBS i thought the Jets had a MUCH better and talented team than Miami that barely won a game last year. Now they sign Pennington and we have Favre and an awful lot of people are giving them a chance all of the sudden. Are we not too sure about our QB move now? What gives? If Brett went to Minnesota and we still had Pennington week 1 was a blowout by the Jets.
