Fantastic idea. I'm sure there's a bunch of Adam Vinatieri's sitting at home just waiting to make a game winning kick for us next week. Come on dude, we've tried out kickers during the season and the coach's didn't see anything. The free agent kicking pool hasn't changed since then.
I'm sorry, but this is really a stupid comment. Folk has done a good job this year...did you already forget the Colts game? Why would you bring in a "cold"kicker who for whatever reason is not on a team at the present?Westoff can handle Folk.
agreed that we need to keep folk and getting somebody else is just a waste of our time/effort. but unfortunately for gang green, westhoff won't be kicking our FG's. he can yell at folk all he wants to try to motivate him and keep his head on straight, but at the end of the day it's folk who will be out there taking the kicks.. all we can hope is that the jets can control this game well enough that we won't have to rely on this guy for the make or break moment
Folk will have a chance to redeem himself against Pitt, so it's up to him to prove he is a better kicker for us than feely. Remeber, as much as we all loved Jay, he missed 2 makeable kicks against Manning last year, the second of which gave Peyton the short field right before the half....

they have suisham (is that how you spell it?) hes struggled for them as well so at least theres no huge disadvantage in the field goal situation

Since I follow the jets and not the steelers, I doubt I would have heard unless it was James Harrison. Then of course Harrison would have subsequently been removed from the NFL forever due to Goodell's ridiculous conspiracy to hate the steelers...
