Faith and trust are earned, not given. I have heard of both the "Darksiders" and "Sunshiners" and I believe both have the right to voice their opinions.

I could understand being overly critical after a win, someone trying to picking on the slightest negative details, but to be dissapointed after losing a tight game is to be expected. I already said in another thread how pleased I was to see this team battle back against NE. This one stung though, maybe because in the end I had too much faith in the defense pulling it out.

Bottom line is that people need to understand is that we are all fans. If someone is taking the time to make a thread complainging about their football team, it shows how much they care about the football team. It might not be the way you like, but give me a break with this "find another team" stuff. Being negative doesn't make you any less of a fan to someone who is positive. In the end both sides want the same thing, a championship.

It's strange to say, but I actually liked this site better when in the mind of the fans nobody could do anything right. Now you're an awful person for just suggesting that the new coaching staff isn't God's great gift to football.

Mangini has done an excellent job with the talent that he and Tannenbaum assembled over the offseason, but some facts have to be faced: the defense looks terrible, as if nobody has bought into the 3-4 system at all. That falls on Mangini and Sutton. Also, the running game is predictable and more or less useless all around. That falls on Mangini and Schottenheimer. Finally, the decision to go for it on 4th down was a very poor one, that falls on Mangini.

Does this mean that we should fire the coaching staff and bring back Herm Edwards and Paul Hackett? No. But there should be nothing wrong with expressing dissapointment about your team choking away a game that they should have won.

you are probably one of those fans who wants the Jets to do poorly so they can draft high in round one (Brady Quinn or some shit like that). I am so proud right now of our New York Jets!!!! Watching that game in person (and I'm a season ticket holder) really opened my eyes to what we have to look forward to as Jets fans. Sorry if you can't see it.

I dont believe faith is earned. It is something you chose, nothing more. Respect is something you earn, Trust is something you earn, but not faith. You can have faith any anything you put your mind to, and when something goes wrong in the thing you have faith in, it just becomes harder to keep your faith. Not earn.

I agree that it is OK to be disapointed in a loss in general, and it is OK to acknowledge flaws in your teams gameplan/techniques/CS. When you bash the team/player/CS after 1 loss while implicating that we made a horrible, overall, unfixable decision. Like implicating that the hiring of Mangini is an unfixable problem after one loss. Just as an example in this thread alone. Rome was'nt built overnight. So I feel that is something that is just borderline idiotic. IMO

Making a thread, and bashing something/someone without thinking it out, or giving good logic behind their opinion is ridiculous to me. This forum has a lot of it, and a little bit of it is fine, but every other thread is like that. That is just my opinion though. Might be the only one that feels like that, but w/e.

There's a difference between hope and expectation. I hope we win the Super Bowl every year, but I'm not going to bet my house on it.

Our D needed to make one stop to win and they couldn't. It sure does hurt, but remember we were up against peyton manning. This team gave everything they had today.

No, it suspends people who make personal attacks. You would know that if you read the thread, instead of just blabbing.

Some of you can never just accept the fact that this a brand new regime and their will be bumps on the road while making the progression that is needed...

Look man...At this point he has to be agressive and be all trickery whenever possible...The Jets have showed alot this year. Why can't you be happy at the progression they've made after 4 games?

Mangini's only real mistake was going for the TD when we should have gone for a FG. Other than that, I can't find anything else to criticize him for. The D simply didn't come up with the stop when we needed it.

I like taking risks and coaches that are willing to do so. But that decision to go for it on 4th down was just unnecessary. The Jets were moving the ball all over the Indy defense, it wasn't like that would be the only chance they would see the rest of the game. In any case, when it is a TIE GAME and you have a chance to take the lead on a chip shot FG, you have to do it. The risk didn't outweigh the reward in that case, kind of like that HB pass Hackett called against the Ravens two years ago. Also in a shootout, a close shootout, those three points always come in handy. With that asise, I'm not that horribly pissed off because Mangini does so much more to help us win games.

I agree totally. We had the momentum, but then again, if Chad didn't get intercepted we would have had them pinned down on the 2. I understand the call but I still disagree with it. I'll chalk it up to growing pains. Hopefully he learns from it. As for everything else, We have a team that was picked by most of the experts to get the #1 draft choice. We played against a team the according to the experts is going to the Super Bowl. We almost beat them. Now if we had a running game... But that is something we must address in next years draft. Quick unrelated question. Who is #77? I saw him out on the field and he's HUGE. Is he anything other than a big body?

Im happy with the Jets their making great progression so far. If you don like Mangini then you a dumbass. He only made 2 mistakes today I think. Going for it on 4th down and not blitzing Manning late in the game. But hes only human hes gonna make some mistakes himself after all he's a 1st year head coach.

Yeah,we played much better than anyone expected, but is that an excuse to blow a win by giving a free pass to 2 touchdowns when they have no time outs and about 2 minutes on the clock? NO

I'm not blaming this loss on mangini. But where was the Rhodes blitz a few times? Or how about ANY blitz, just once when we needed it

    Hello MCFLY,
    To all the haters ...

A mere few months ago the NY Jets Organization was shaken around like a giant green etch n' sketch. No one knew what the hell to make of the new coach. We had no QB, our receivers sucked and and our Offensive Coordinator just got his Drivers License.

Like many of you I figured I'd watch to see who we would draft with the #1 pick next year.

Lovers and Haters alike, NONE of you can deny it. You know its true. You know what I'm talking about when I say you "have expectations". 4 weeks in and the questions are being answered. You EXPECT the Jets to take JAX to the mat and you will be suprised if we get slapped around like Lindsay Lohan after a coke binge. These strange feelings you have come from these expectations, don't fight them, its a good thing.

TOTALLY agree - I was surprised the game was as close as it was. There is no doubt that last years team would have gotten killed
