We don't need to tank the season to attain talent from the draft.

Can't disagree with much but the idea of taking a RB is not something I'd consider.
No doubt we need improvement at the position because Powell is just average and Johnson has been a total bust signing for us.
A stud O lineman should be one of the highest of priorities and a QB should be in play also.
I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Geno but he needs REAL competition at the position and we need a serious insurance policy if Geno continues to go south.
Tons of $ to spend and a top draft position should enable this team to make a big leap in 2015 but the guys currently pulling the strings don't inspire much confidence from me to get the job done.
    I pray I'm wrong.

Yeah I agree. We started Kyle Wilson and walls at CB last night. We have no WR threat outside of decker. O line is a mess. Harris is on the decline. qB is a question mark. I'd be livid if we took an RB before the fourth

Sadly, if the Jets get the #1 pick in the draft, every top QB prospect will decide to stay in school to work on their Masters degree.

I think we're tanking whether the fans like it or not. I want to win every game, last night I was borderline having a stroke in that last minute and change...but the consolation prize of a higher draft pick for having a terrible season is at least something. I think some people are still delusional and think we can still run the table and make the playoffs, until we're mathematically eliminted they will hold on to that hope, but I say just embrace the fact that we suck and that there are likely going to be sweeping changes next season: high draft pick, likely a new QB, Rex is probably gone, we have lots of cap space to make a splash in free agency, etc.

Short term pain for long term gain...hopefully. I mean we could suffer, draft a bust and just continue to toil in endless misery. I mean, if I were a betting man...
