it matters because some people are fucking imbeciles and have a insatiable compulsion to prove it to people.

Would you say that it was indisputable evidence? Can you say with utmost certainty that Miami had more posession of the football the very milisecond that it broke the plain of the goal-line? As far as I know if both the WR and the DB have their hands on teh ball then tie goes to the offense.

Either way, it was too close to call IMO. You can say we also got robbed of a fumble.

So when It's against Miami then you got robbed,
Yet when it's against the JETS "They blew it"?

1st - The Bess play was an obvious fumble and there wasn't enough evidence on who recovered it to justify risking a TO.
There's no "You blew it", it's a call of worth vs risk.

2nd - Your coach had plenty of time to see the replay but you know what? He Blew it.
Sounds like he fits right in if you ask me.

yeah, keep bumping royce parker......#1 prick bumps my thread

point i was making was that the call was wrong..... all of you are responding that the fumble call was wrong. i never said it wasn't a bad call.

the ohter point i made was that the jets staff SAW THE REPLAYS and still failed to challenge the bad call by the refs...at that point, it's the jets' staff who own the bad call.

on the other hand, miami's staff DID NOT get chance to see the replays until AFTER the jets had tried to go for the two points - making a challenge impossible. i put the bad call squarely on the refs.

additionally, it sucks that bad calls happen on TDs...and that miami was again the recipient of a bad call that resulted in 7 points being awarded to the opposition.

the relevance of this post to the game is that many people throughout the message board are calling the dolphins lucky and that they were outplayed and the score shouldn't have been what it was. the dolphins offense was outplayed by the jets defense, yes, but i also agree the score shouldn't have been 30-25...jets should have had less points. the game shouldn't been as close as it was because of the bad call that gave jets 7 points. this would have made the jets' last drive pointless since they would have still needed another score to win and, consequently, would have put the result of this game in a better perspesctive which is that jets should not have been in a position to win this game and its fans shouldn't be as pissed because they feel they lost a close game or that the dolphins did not deserve the win because they got 2 special teams touchdowns. sorry, those are the facts and you probably don't like to hear them... boo hoo hoo

Sparano had PLENTY of time to challenge. Why are you saying there were no replays to view?

Man, Miami fans prove time and time again how annoying they are. Sore winners. And if we're the cockiest 4-4 team in the league, the Fish are the cockiest 3-4 team in the league.

I think zor has football dyslexia. The Jets didn't get a replay and the Phins had plenty of time to throw a challenge flag. This thread is idiotic.

no it shouldn't have because Edwards had possession of the ball as it crossed the goal line, so your entire argument is irrelevant. whether a Fins player had his hands on the ball doesn't matter, he would have had to have sole possession of the ball before it crossed the goal line, and he didn't. and with it shared, the possession goes to the player who had possession first -- Edwards. how is this hard to grasp?

What the fuck? I have to deal with fans from the same team I root for acting like this current incarnation of the Jets is as bad as the Millen Lions, and now I have to read about fans from the team that beat us whining about a potential call that didn't go their way yet still did not cost them the game?

What's next, a thread on how you didn't get enough congratulations on rooting for the team that one on Sunday? You're getting to be as bad as those assbags in New England. Tell you what, if you're feeling that bad about it, PM me you're home address and I'll send you the $10 it'll likely cost to buy a bullet and rent a gun at your local shooting range. Fucking die.

no fucking shit, but what about all the time the Dolphins had to challenge it before the next play? I can only imagine that the Fins boards are heavenly places of intelligence because apparently they jettison all their imbecile posters who the come here by the quality of the Fin fan posts we've gotten.

I don't know what you are talking about. Edwards clearly had both hands on the ball when he crossed the goal line. He let go of the ball when he hit the ground. Touchdown.
