You guys shouldn't get worked up over who made it and who didn't. Hell, Jason Peters made the 2nd team, that should tell you how seriously they take the voting
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3821666 This list gives me the creeps. Its like our past just totally coming back to haunt us. I see plenty of ex-JETS on that list; Chad Pennington - my God....the guy was CUT. Kevin Mawae - guy was just released. John Abraham -- granted, he had to go, just didnt fit in the 3-4 & we ended up w/a draft pick. James Farrior - Parcells drafts him, doesnt play him w/the exception of his final year & then Pittsburgh reaped all the benefits. Other stuff that is pretty scary -- 12 f--king OTs are named & our 4 overall pick D'Brick doesnt impress enough to get a single vote -- even Jon F--king Runyon played well enough to get a vote from someone. Thomas Jones doesnt get a vote? Only 2 for Revis?? Rhodes finally gets the huge contract & no mention of him anywhere.
Agreed with most of your comments except for the Jones and Rhodes ones. I can't make a case for Jones over Peterson, Turner, or Williams. (They received 98 of the 99 votes cast for RBs. Portis got the other vote. Peter King is the voter who only made one choice at RB, otherwise there would have been an even 100 votes cast.) I suppose someone could argue Portis over Jones, but I wouldn't. Rhodes didn't have a good enough season in 2008 to warrant a vote at safety. safety votes Reed 50 Polamalu 46 A. Wilson 2 Collins 1 Mikell 1 To add to the ex-Jet thing, Justin Miller received one vote at kick returner.
Actually what I meant by the Rhodes thing is that he s--t the bed right after he gets the big fat $$ contract.
I really hope Washington get a contract extension after this year, he can really contribute on O with 15-20 touches a game.
